Is it possible to know the "truth". Reading Emmys post about different religions and whether one is false or another true, only reinforces the awareness of the lack of instruction so desperately needed for young people (or anyone for that matter) whom God has drawn to His Son. Speculation and compromise for the sake of humanity is more important than knowing the "truth". All the "gods" on Mars hill are included in the religions of the world because man allows them to be there in order to be sensitive to the beliefs of others. So is the tendancy of the flesh.
Jesus instructed Nicodemus in this and this teaching should be rehearsed in the ears of everyone who is "born again". Understanding what happened when you are "born again" eliminates all the "gods" on Mars hill, even the unknown god for you will surely know just as Jesus knows the "One True God". You will know Him "In Spirit and in Truth".

When Jesus prayed "sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth" He was talking about Gods word and Gods truth. Just before His conversation with Nicodemus "many believed in His name when they saw the miracles,which He did, But Jesus did not commit Himself unto them, because He knew all men, and needed not that any should testify of man: for He knew what was in man." Understanding Gods truth is a spiritual activity and it is necessary to know exactly how that spiritual activity happens. Mans ability to understand truth is not inherent in man. It is a spiritual gift (Grace) and it comes from the new birth, "that which is born, not of blood, nor the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. This is in the principles of the doctrine of Christ and it is the basis of going on unto perfection.

At Sunday Night Service in the Mission the Preacher told
about a young girl he had been able to speak to from the
Roman Catholic faith she had never heard of the 23rd Psalm
and had never read or even saw a Bible, she said her priest
gave them their own book to read, our Preacher gave her a Bible to
take home, as some leaflets and tracks, he called a week or
two later but couldn't get in,
he was wondering did her family object to what he'd told her.
It happens over here, some of their families dissown them
and others are able to convert their families to Jesus the one
true Saviour he who only can forgive our sins, not man.
