"Whosoever will save his life shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it" Mtt:16.25

What a paradox. What strange language is this? You have your life by losing it. and you lose your life by keeping it? How can this be?

My friend that is so true that some who do not even know God understand it...........

It is not our continual grasping and getting things for ourselves, finding ease and comfort, pitying ourself, that is going to enable us to really live. It is the giving of ourselves.

And particularly the giving of ourselves to the Lord Jesus Christ, the handing over of our life to HIm: the loosing, if you will, of our hand upon life, and handing it over to Him. Losing our life that way....we find it.

The only way truly to live is to be yeilded to the Lord Jesus Christ as God's servant. I want to testify very gladly and very humbly: I did not know what life was until I yeilded my all to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Oh, how the enemy has us baffled. Oh how the world has us cooped up in a corner, not understanding that that God wants to give to us, is the best. "Thou will show me the path of life; in Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.

Oh my friend if you only knew what the Lord wants to give you! I have not yet found a saint of God distressed, having forsaken all to follow Jesus. The only way truly to live is to deny self; to take up your cross and follow Him. The Lord Jesus gives to you a real vibrating, pulsating life, without any morning-after-the-night-before: you know what I mean?

It is great to be a Christian. Great to be on the Lord's side today.

Great to be yeilded to Him.

Assurance

Yes, it is an undeniable trait that very strong christians have. They have a deep assurance of God's love. They help the weak and Jesus helps them. Christians who focus on thier own problems never seem to grow, do they. Thanks for that excellent post.
