Hello Brothers n Sisters,
I just sat in a bible study on God making us in His (Triune) image and a verse out of Psalms was used. I've read this several times but really never understood the "Fearfully" part. I was wondering if this meant that our Father God is so AWESOME that His works are beyond our wildest dreams and David couldn't find the correct word and God's Spirit gave him "Fearfully". What exactly does "Fearfully" mean?
Thanks

Moz, when looking at the Hebrew words and how they are combined, comparing them to how they are used in other scriptures in the Bible, there's more light shed on "fearfully". It carries both a natural and spiritual high respect that leads to due reverence, and upon realizing the fulness of such an admirable work of God, commands a certain fear. It's a bit intimidating to me to remember the moment I knew the majesty of my creator God, that I am not a creator, that I was graced to comprehend the majesty of God through one of His works. That moment was when I was handed my firstborn daughter. Until then people were unique, each different in some way in my eyes, but it took that baby to show me each is more than that, so that today I have a far greater respect for people. I think the reason is having learned to have the right kind of respectful, reverential fear of God. It is then that things simply beautiful are revealed as wonderful, marvelous works of God.

Praise God for how good a job He did on you!

Hello DG, Yes sir, well said. I thought this myself...the reverence of God but wasn't really sure. I've been asking for His spirit of discernment and I'm also asking that our God, the One and only God would put more of His Holy Spirit in me and that I will take Him more seriously. Keep going in the Lord and I will pray for you and all my brothers and sisters here in these forums. I love you very much.
Again, Thanks

I think your interpretation is spot on.
I have experienced a tiny piece of the revelation of his love in Christ and the fear of losing that revelation will make you quake with fear and trembling. The mountains will roar and the seas will recede and reveal the treasures of the deep and the mountains will leave piles of precious stones everywhere,oh so many stones and so few wheelbarrows.

Alas lord I think the cat needs to be fed so I'll come back tomorrow.

sniff,sniff,here kitty..
