Okay, this really isn't "fasting." or anything. But when I hear the word "fasting" I don't believe it just has to be food. It can be a bunch of stuff. While I was spending time with God, the song "All to You" by Lincoln Brewster came on. I felt guilty in singing it, because the lyrics went like this: I'm living my life for You and I'm giving everything to You." And I just told God, "God, I'm not giving you anything. I'm too scared. I'm not giving you everything." All of a sudden, one word popped into my head. Facebook. Okay, it may be a small thing. But Facebook can be a large distraction in my life. I can sign onto that website 20 times a day. Not even exagerrating. And God was just telling me, "Don't sign onto facebook for one week, Katie." And you know what? I'm doing just that. After that chat with God, I immediately went to my facebook and changed the settings. To those who don't have a facebook, things get emailed to me when I get something on my facebook. So I pretty much changed the settings where I wouldn't get emailed when I get new things on my facebook.
And I believe this can be considered fasting. Because I'm giving up something for Christ.
