And to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you, 1 Thessalonians 4:11

In the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30), Jesus told of three men, each of whom was given a different amount of money, “each according to his ability” (Matthew 25:15). The first two doubled their investment but the third held onto his money and was condemned for doing nothing with it. That tells you a few things about God’s definition of success.

First, success comes when you’ve done the work in front of you—the work God has “prepared in advance” for you to do (Ephesians 2:10). It also means that God hasn’t assigned everyone the same type of work, or given everyone the same resources, but it does mean that whatever He has given you is enough for you to do your job. So, no matter what you do for a living, do it to honor God.

No amount of money can increase God’s kingdom, but one man, whether he’s digging ditches or investing stocks, can make the difference for the people he’s working with, one at a time, to build the eternal nations. When you’re focused on living the life God has for you, “attending to your own business” takes on a fresh attitude—you’re minding God’s business. In His view, to be faithful is to be successful.
Its all Gods Money anyway we are simply stewards of it, what I Find just awesome is that he allows us to use his money to store up treasures in heaven that will last forever and be waiting on us when we arrive, when we use his money here on earth for the kingdom of God we can store up treasures in heaven.
