"Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually. The lampstand will stand in the Tabernacle, in front of the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant. Aaron and his sons must keep the lamps burning in the LORD's presence all night. Everywhere you go, make God famous. Let your mouth speak words that describe His wonder. Let your mind spend time thinking about His goodness. When you do, you shouldn’t be surprised that your stance is firm, your heart undivided in your opinion of God, and your trust in Him sure.
Consider this: Every hour the sun is rising on a new place on this big blue marble. And with every sunrise, God is creating a new day to be enjoyed. Cherished, and used wisely. He never sleeps, naps, or daydreams. God is on the job, and people who love Him share His good news every hour of every day—just like the priests who were ordered to maintain a physical light in the tabernacle to point to God’s light, even when most people slept. God is famous—declare it.
Prayer: Father, is it okay to tell You that talking about You can be hard? Well, it is—or at least can be. Help me be boldly identified with You and wise enough to follow what I know. Be my stability in an unstable world.
