EVERY CHRISTIAN MUST DIE

Before you start rebuking me please read John 12:24. " Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it does die it will bring forth much fruit"

No death i am talking about is not physical death but rather a spiritual one, i believe that in our time we have seen so many christians living their lives the way they want, especially with the new hyper grace message which is giving people license to sin ( when i say new, i mean its been more seen that many years past). God is calling every believer to die daily, its a process, you dont die once and think you dead, you ought to die daily. The bible says can he who is dead to sin, sin any longer, the answer is no because you are dead.

But we got people confessing they are dead, but have not died, dying means, i will no longer smoke that cigarette, because i am dead to all the temptations it will offer me, i am dead to lust, that means everything that causes me to lust it does worry me because i am dead. You cant be dead if you still smoking, you cant be dead if you still masturbating.

I preached this message at my church an the altar was full as people came one by one dying to themselves and been alive with God. That scripture i mentioned in the beginning it means this, if you are dead and when you do die yes it will be lonely but you will be able to produce better results, have better favour, see greater miracles only when you die.

So my brothers and my sisters lets die to everything that will exalt us and lets give the honor to the one who really deserves it. Jesus

A "Born Again" Christian is born anew, your second birth, born spiritually! To die spiritually is not to be born again and to end up in hell. But, you are right, to be a Christian , you must die of sorts, die to self...the old is gone and the new has come: 2 Corinthians 5:17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

I don't think that this death is complete until we die and go to heaven. You can be saved, have died to self but still struggle with any sorts of sin. Look at how Paul struggle in Romans 7 and he gave the answer to that struggle in Romans 8:1. I believe, that a so called "Christian" is one who does not have a repentant heart. You can still struggle with sin but, having a repentant heart to that sin is a sure sign that you have died to your old self!

We should be careful how we walk this out,self help through human willpower is not dying to self.
Making it all about stopping sin is the old man dealing with old things.
To believe you are actually born again you must also believe all things are new and all things are of God.
Being free from the law is what makes you free from sin and to start making new rules for yourself is a trip back to Egypt.
Whatever is not of faith is sin.
If smoking a cigarette is a sin to you then you live under a law that you made yourself and that is hardly dying to self.
Making laws for yourself is self empowerment and belongs to the self-help crowd.

To the pure all things are pure and to the impure nothing is pure.
Unbelief is the real sin and it brings fear which is contrary to love.

If your righteousness depends on what you do then it is not dependant on what he did.
