ESV bible

Hi i was just wondering who here uses this bible version?.

Its my daily bible version now. The only thing i dont like about it is its basis on the alexandrian manuscripts (as all new versions bar NKJV are based on). What i like about it is that its easy to read but also literal and quite accurate and its also traditional.

Who here uses it/has thoughts on it?.:shade:

I started off with ESV 5 years ago when I first got saved. It was very easy to read indeed. Since I have not read it in at least 3 years, I cannot comment further than that.

I know that the Holy Spirit is the author of the Word and the One who grants wisdoma and understanding to those who seek His face in Jesus.

I read the article quickly. I've heard of the things said about the NSRV in the past and would highly refrain from it. Just because a book out there calls itself "Holy Bible" does not mean it is truly Holy Spirit derived from Holy Spirit filled men. The devil hates it and will do anything he can to deceive the world.

As for ESV, I cannot speak for it.

I currently read the KJV Study Bible after reading the NKJV Study Bible for a year. I enjoyed the NKJV very much and the KJV Study Bible I have now is truly awesome. You can feel the love of Christ in the footnotes/study notes and the commentary.

Cody im well familiar with AV1611.org. That is a KJ only fundamentalist site. I have read all they have to say and there is NO version there other than the KJV that they accept. I think its quite a dangerous site to direct people to - it could very easily cause young Christians to stumble.

Having breifly read the article you posted i would call that a very positive review of the ESV (having read reviews there of other translations). The fact positives were mentioned shocked me.
