Enemy Tactics

I do so with Christ's authority for your benefit, so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are very familiar with his evil schemes.

— 2 Corinthians 2:10–11

The devil tends to use the same tactics over and over again. I suppose he operates by the old adage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

He has used these techniques, plans, and strategies since the Garden of Eden, and they have worked with great effect to bring down countless people. Therefore, he just keeps bringing them back, generation after generation.

That is the bad news. The good news is that we know what they are, because they are clearly identified in the Bible.

The devil is a dangerous wolf that sometimes disguises himself as a sheep. Sometimes he roars like a lion. But more often he comes like a snake. Sometimes he comes to us in all of his depravity and horror. Other times he comes to us as an angel of light. This is why we always need to be on guard.

He will tempt you and whisper, "Trust me on this. Go ahead and sin. You will get away with it. No one will ever know." So you take the bait and fall into sin.

Then the devil shouts, "What a hypocrite! Do you think God would ever hear your prayers? And don't even bother going to church!" Sadly, some people will listen to this, believe it, and be driven away.

Just remember, no matter what you have done, no matter what sin you have committed, God will always be ready to forgive you if you will turn from that sin and return to Him. Don't let the devil isolate you from God's Word and God's people, because that is exactly what he is trying to do.

YES.

REGARD THIS MESSAGE.

THIS IS WHAT THE PROPHETS SPEAK OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

REPENT.

RETURN TO GOD.

HE IS WAITING FOR YOU.

All God wants is for His sheep to return to the fold.
All God wants is your love and obedience.

God knows you aren't flawless.

HE MADE YOU.
How could He not know?

God LOVES you.
God wants you always to return to Him should you stray.

God will always take you back.

Doesn't the Shepherd leave the 99 to search for the one lost sheep?

Doesn't He rejoice when He finds it?

Bless up!

I must say I was a little surprised by this article from Laurie.
Sadly, many are deceived into believing that refraining from participating in religious liturgical meetings is isolating one's self from God's people the Body of Christ and Christ, Himself. This too is a deception from the Devil. I must say it has been my experience that many christians will not have fellowship with those who are not members or attendees of their church. Satan is working both ends and in many cases undetected, we are part of the body of Christ because of our connection to Christ the Head, not our connection to other believers.

That is worth repeating! It is my experience, that too many try to connect with the body without being connected with the Head.
(It is impossible by the way to have fellowship in Christ, without Christ first being in you) This truth speaks for itself. It is not difficult to tell when a branch is not connected to the true Vine. The enemy offers a false vine, that can give the appearance of life...for awhile. He will graft any branch to his false one, if only they are willing to LOOK alive. I have a lot of broken off Weeping Willow branches laying in my yard. They can LOOK alive for quite some time, but because they are not connected to the tree, no matter how much it rains, they cant absorb any life giving water, and no matter how much they try, they cannot sprout. (true sign of life) Satan isnt going to try to hinder us from clinging to his false vine by all our 'singing, shouting, dancing, doing, going, giving'...the more the merrier, for as long as we delight in ourselves, we wont notice we arn`t changing, growing, sprouting... ah.

Does Christ live in me? That is the question, the enemy does not want us asking ourselves. And I say, the answer is easily found in asking myself another question. Am I depending in any way shape or form in my own performance? If I am, I have`nt got the point yet, that is, it is nothing in me, but only Christ that lives in me that gives me life! Without Him I am twice dead.

Jud 1:12 With their shameless carousing they are like dirty spots in your fellowship meals. They take care only of themselves. They are like clouds carried along by the wind, but bringing no rain. They are like trees that bear no fruit, even in autumn, trees that have been pulled up by the roots and are completely dead.
Jud 1:13 They are like wild waves of the sea, with their shameful deeds showing up like foam. They are like wandering stars, for whom God has reserved a place forever in the deepest darkness.

2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you fail to meet the test!
