What does it matter where i am from?, are we not ALL Children of God regardless of the man made barriers we place upon Gods world, should i not care as much for the child starving to death in Sudan as i do for the child being abused next to my house, and is it not my duty as a Christian to fight against injustice whenever and wherever i see it, whether it be here in the UK, or in the US, or in Gaza or anywhere in Gods world that mans evil corrupts and destroys, And what do you mean by "Tidying up my own affairs before stepping into someone elses"?, in my Bible it says "Love your Neighbour as yourself and treat others as you'd want to be treated", there are no ifs or buts about it, and while there are indeed many things i am critical of here in the UK, there are not troops on the streets of cities, there are not masked men abducting citizens off the streets and breaking into their homes by force, their are not horrific concentration camps for "illegal" immigrants, the UK has not threatened another NATO country with armed force and has a parliamentary system with many checks and balances on the power of the executive that is absent in the US, Trump is a despot and a tyrant and while we have a mini version in Farage the US system is ripe for an authoritarian leader to assume control,.... and i do not hate Trump, and i do not condemn him because he goes against other countries beliefs or norms, i condemn his actions because they go against the laws and teachings of the Christ he professes to follow, i find his actions in cutting overseas aid leading to 14 million avoidable deaths and untold suffering, his destruction of Gods world through the repealing of environmental laws and protections, his persecution of minorities and immigrants, his blatant greed and corruption, his arbitrary use of force such as in Venezuela and his threats about Greenland, his pride and his arrogance to be abominable and a reflection of the Evil within his soul, when someone is described by Jeffrey Epstein as "I have met some very bad people ... none as bad as Trump," Epstein reportedly wrote in the email, which was released by House lawmakers this week in a trove of files", then you know youre dealing with a very bad individual, but he s in the position hes in because tens of millions of Americans voted for him, and continue to defend him, and the responsibility for what he does is as much theirs as his. But while i judge his actions i do not judge him , for that is Gods prerogative, a judgement we must ALL face and account for what we have, and havent done,.......... If you believe that all authority is given by God, then do you also believe that it is a Christians duty to fight against that Authority when its used to oppress and destroy?. Was Christ right to condemn the actions of the Scribes and Pharisees even though their authority was God given. Was the US right to fight against Nazism even though Hitlers authority was God given and was Trump right to depose Maduro even though his authority was God given.
