I also try to catch up on reading...I'm a non-fiction kind of person. Oh, and I like listening to music. And I like learning about other people.

You have no idea about the spiritual life of this person. And as there is little regret in heaven, and a lot in hell, you basically called this person destined for hell. Take the plank out of your own eye to see clearly to take the speck out of your brothers eye.

Ok you two.
First this member hasn't been online since 2006 and this particular post is over 20 years ago (2004)! Meaning they were in their 20's at the time and probably still growing in their faith and relationship with the Lord. You have no idea how long a time period transpired since this person was even drawn by God and came to Jesus.
Next this is a chat lounge, where conversations occur that normally fall into the non-religious category or as stated "Simple chats about anything off topic.". You are welcome to look at their postings which only numbered 39, if you're seeking their spiritual standing. See what else they have posted in areas that are pertinent to their belief/faith. Keep in mind that this site has gone through a few modifications since they last posted, and areas like one's testimony might not have been available to them at that time and that in the 19 years since they've been on TJ, they might already be with the Lord, or any other thing else that can befall man in this life.
If you believe he was wasting his time with what he was talking about; look in the mirror and ask yourself what exactly you are doing posting and commenting on something that is 20 years old for which they'll probably never see in a forum made for just the topic they were posting about. In fact, what were you doing back then and how was your walk when one of you would have been 14 yrs old at the time, and Brother Brad I have no idea how old you would have been back then, so for you I can't say
So, please no arguing over spilt milk that has long since soured and gone away. So, if you want to just pray for this young man, that he continued to grow in his faith, knowledge of God, and has come to Glorify God with the life he has led since this post.
