Don't Think Beyond What Is Written

Paul warned us not to even think beyond what is written down.Do you know why? Because once you get outside of what is written in the bible you open yourself up to satans deceptions.
1 Cor 4:6
6 Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other.

XXX Some people start out in the milk understanding and the devil deceives them into thinking they have made it all the way. And they have fallen short of salvation. The Word was given to us for a reason. Jesus only quoted what God said to Him for us. The Holy Spirit only quotes Gods Word.And if we can get past the devil and his deceptions we also can stand strickly on the Word of God. That is our evidence and proof of walking after the Holy Spirit and Christ. Any thoughts or feelings contrary to the verses about God is from the devil.

xxx Everything you need to know about God is already in the scriptures. And you already have the only guaranteed teacher from God--The Holy Spirit. And the devil has his followers lurking around every website, perverting scripture with interpretations.

I agree with all you say here, but the flip side is... some don't believe all that is written. Many here say parts of the Bible doesn't apply anymore or it doesn't pertain to me.
Some never read the old testament at all. Others only read the books of Paul. Still others only read the Gospels.

xxx Jesus wants everyone who is going to be a christian to understand that the new covenant(testament) is just that new. That you cant go back and keep any part of the old testament that Jesus hasnt brought over to the new testament. Jesus new what to bring over man doesnt. But the old testament has to be obsolete to you in order for you to get the fullness of the new testament. 1John 1-9 is very specific if you dont abide(live) in the new testament you dont have the real God. There IS a veil over the old testament that remains to THIS day.
If Jesus were in the old testament this verse could only be meant for God and the angels. But Jesus wasnt in the old testament.

xxx Jesus nailed the old testament to the cross. If you have nailed the old testament to your cross, you are in Christianity. Jesus brought over to the new testament somethings that were good. But what He didnt bring over and you keep it can condemn you.The old testament is the testament of God. The new testament is the testament of Jesus Christ. Be believing them you turn them into a covenant. A covenant is a contract.

Knowledge puffs up, but loves builds up. Knowing what scripture says is not the same thing as understanding what it says. Jesus said only the person who hears the Word and understands it will be able to keep it in themselves" It is easy to keep the word in a person's brain as knowledge which puffs up but with understanding the word it can be kept within one's heart where it counts. Fully understanding that the Holy Spirit is the only one who knows God's thoughts and that being filled with that same Holy Spirit we are filled with God's thoughts. (mind of Christ) where fellowship is the most intimate.

Paul warned us not to even think beyond what is written down.Do you know why? Because once you get outside of what is written in the bible you open yourself up to satans deceptions.

XXX Some people start out in the milk understanding and the devil deceives them into thinking they have made it all the way. And they have fallen short of salvation. The Word was given to us for a reason. Jesus only quoted what God said to Him for us. The Holy Spirit only quotes Gods Word.And if we can get past the devil and his deceptions we also can stand strickly on the Word of God. That is our evidence and proof of walking after the Holy Spirit and Christ. Any thoughts or feelings contrary to the verses about God is from the devil.

xxx Everything you need to know about God is already in the scriptures. And you already have the only guaranteed teacher from God--The Holy Spirit. And the devil has his followers lurking around every website, perverting scripture with interpretations.
