When the Assyrians invaded the nation of Judah, they slandered the Lord and reduced Him to a statue created by people. This invading army tried to strike fear into the people of Judah by speaking of their God in ways that would cause them to doubt Him in the middle of a crisis.
When life becomes challenging or doubts emerge, whom do you listen to? Do you seek the people who can strengthen your faith in God, or do you allow doubters or the enemies of God to plant ideas in your mind? While every crisis can prove disturbing and difficult to endure, your faith can stay unshakable if you remain confident in God’s love for you and in His power to save. You don’t know what deliverance will look like or how God will meet you in a difficult time, but the people you listen to when the odds look the worst may determine what your future looks like.
Prayer: Lord, I trust that You can overcome my doubts and fears.
