And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. Deuteronomy 8:3 ESV

If hundreds of millions of men honor what the Lord says, another four billion have access to God’s Word but ignore it. Why should you care either way?

First, the Lord never speaks in vain, so you’d best heed His every word. Your spiritual sustenance always takes priority over the physical.

Second, you cannot add even the smallest subatomic particle of truth to the Lord’s infinite and eternal knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and ways. No wonder Isaiah 55:8-9 (NIV) says, “’For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways’, declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.’:

Third, any time someone thinks he knows better than the Lord, he is acting like a fool and is in grave danger. Quoting Enoch, Jude 1:14-15 (NLT) says, “Listen! The Lord is coming…to execute judgment on the people of the world. He will convict every person of all the ungodly things they have done and for all the insults that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

Prayer: Lord, You want me to heed Your every word. I’m committed to doing that again today.

It's not really a case of ignoring scriptures, but adding or subtracting to them or reframing them to fit into one's current ideology.
Mistranslations and unspiritual interpretations have aided the masses in their spiritual lethargy.
They love, love, love their Wolves in Sheep's Clothing - they sprinkle them with enough truth, to suck them into error, of which the wolves themselves have been sucked into.

Wolves in Sheep's Clothing are perpetually producing other wolves in sheep's clothing.

Hence, "corpses upon corpses, they stumble on their corpses, BECAUSE of the mistress of witchcrafts . . " - Nahum 3:3-4

I will answer the question that you proposed here, how and why such things concern me (I have invited myself to answer), and why it is that I care.

It is because I cannot bear the sight of the innocent being in the middle of a war zone; it is because I cannot bear to see the innocent go into camps to become professional killers; it is because I cannot bear to see the tears of children who have lost families; it is because their cries come into my ears, and my spirit, which was born contentious, and not like that of a good man, is risen from these things to a place not meant for innocents.

I know what I am now, and I was not always what I am now, and I have been made strong knowing what awfulness surrounds me and what afflicts those I have affection for. I will not leave before I am able to help them and this world, and doing so would be a disgrace I will not accept.

God's word contains blueprints with can be used in the healing of the world, and this is what I'm after.

I have now shared my desire with you.

He who keeps my sayings shall never see death - John 8:51

Tell Jesus how serious you are about his WORD.

Dear Rossingnol,
For some it may not be, for many it surely is ignoring it. Not only the attractions of what the World has to offer over the truth or the History of Scripture, but also what other religions they've come to accept as being truth instead. I kind of look at it at times as being the lazy man's religion, that requires or needs little thought, or interaction for that matter. For the Sunday Morning Christian, it's business as usual for the rest of the week, which requires little introspection, and as you say with wolves guidance that only reinforces their natural inclinations away from wanting to Know God.

"Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. Revelation 3:11 NKJV

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

Continuing on in Revelation 3 which you quoted, verse 20 states of His coming -
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.".

This is a daily opening, unto full illumination to be seated In the Throne:
Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Dear Rossignol,
Our Lord doesn't make it very hard for anyone does he?
