Do you believe.......that that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved?

  1. Do you believe?

......that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved
    Acts 15:11

    and that

    Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
    Titus 3:5

This is such wonderful truth.....PRAISE THE LORD

If you believe, share a word of praise

  2. Grace is available to those who believe the commandments of Jesus and embrace the gospel.
Far too many new wave Christians promote Grace as coming upon people who do not submit to the Word and obey
what is required, such as water baptism by full immersion.
First comes believing and repentance. Then comes baptism of water and of the Holy Spirit.
Then comes Grace. Made available to the believer by the work of Jesus Christ at Calvary and in His resurrection.

Grace is not an excuse not comply with the scriptures and teachings of Jesus and the Apostles.
  3. Greetings,

By Grace. Contrary to the previous post, we're saved by Grace only. Jesus Christ died in exchange for us - that is grace

Thank you @Fragrant Grace for this opportunity to share something of what the LORD has done for us! !

Let's pray that it doesn't get into another stupid debate but that everyone can simply give their own praise report in their own words. To God be the glory, great things He has done!

Whenever I read those two Scriptures you shared @Fragrant Grace I am so encouraged because it is so easy to see my insufficiency and get discouraged. If me being saved relied on me I would be totally lost and would definitely perish but because of GOD's love I have a Saviour, I have a Redeemer, I have hope, I have Life. I am His and He is mine.

This world offers only sin and death and my only life is in Christ because it is His Life!!!

Before I became a Christian I totally rejected anything and everything about God and Jesus. I know that it is and was and only ever will be because of the Grace of GOD in giving His Son that I am saved.

    Praise the LORD!

    Praise His name !

Praise Him, praise Him and praise Him again!

    Bless you ....><>

  4. Do you realize that it was Grace that knocked Paul off his horse? It was Grace that saved the thief on the cross? It was by Grace that Mary conceived...we are definitely saved by Grace.

What surprises me though......the number of No's to the poll above....If the Word says we are saved by Grace, Ephesians 2:8-9, how can you not believe it?

  5. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned. Mark 16:16

Believes the gospel taught by Jesus and the Apostles = repentance; turning away from self-will and submitting to the will and purpose
of God > walking in the Spirit.
Christian baptism > water and Holy Spirit baptisms which go together.
Water baptism unto repentance (public ceremony of burying the old life and the resurrection of a new person).
Holy Spirit baptism > the power of God enabling the convert to become an overcomer, and to enjoy a new powerful spiritual prayer language.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
    Mathew 28;19

Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
    Acts 2:38

If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15

He that hath my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father,
and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
    John 14:21

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
    1Corinthians 7:19

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
    James 1:22

When we become obedient and doers of the Word (and the Word abides within us) then yes we are saved by Grace.
We enter into Grace in our continuing relationship with our Father through Jesus by walking in the Spirit.
Grace and the blood of Jesus and the indwelling Holy Spirit covers our spiritual nakedness and we are clothed in fine white linen.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. John 1:17

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
    Romans 5:2
  6. Grace all the way, Bendito brother we agree !!!! ;) . the thief of the cross is all you need to know about how grace works !!!

  7. Greetings Brothers,

How about telling us about Grace in your life? That would be great to hear!

You know, I was thinking about Grace and from what I can tell that if it wasn't for Grace there would be no cross, in fact no Christianity, no Christians and we definitely wouldn't be here at TalkJesus!

Regardless of how anyone wants to cut the cake, Grace is Grace. I'm pretty sure the point of this thread is to offer praise. What for?

For the Grace of GOD in Christ Jesus the Lord .

    Let us praise Him !

    Bless you ....><>

  8. Grace = The empowering PRESENCE of God in your life, enabling you to do that which God has for you to do....His PRESENCE Now that's Grace!
  9. Greetings,

Tell us about how Grace is for you . There's oodles of threads and posts about what everyone thinks it's all about but let's try to focus on praising the LORD!

    Bless you ....><>

  10. Do you mean like the time I was feeling like the worlds biggest failure and was hurting and feeling unloved and He held me for an hour or so? Or the time I collapsed in the woods and He was there with me the whole night and the month following in the hospital? Maybe you mean the time He came for me in the Wyoming country and saved me from the end I knew was coming if I died....hell.... Or the time when He took all craving for cigarettes away from me? Maybe you mean when He healed me from asthma when I was 25 and I've never experienced it again? Or when he used me to heal that pastor, or the lady with diabetes? Or when He delivered several people from various demons through me? Grace is ongoing in a Christians life...He NEVER leaves us..nor does He forsake us...Hebrews 13:5 He has given us a 'job of work' that being...John 6:29 CJB
29 Yeshua answered, “Here’s what the work of God is: to trust in the one he sent!” Do this and He can work in and through you and you will produce fruit

  11. Yes in agreement @Br. Bear let us Praise Him not debate but praise

Amazing grace! how sweet the sound,
that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost but now am found,
was blind but now I see.

    Thank You Jesus

By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to His name.
    Hebrews 13:15

  12. I love the way Grace is set up for us, so no man can boast of his own doing by getting into heaven. Grace is a gift from God to us who do not deserve it!! Grace makes me want to be obedient to God, but since we all know that perfect obedience is required if you want to follow the law and that that is impossible and we all fall short, God gives us grace!!!

"Nothing is as stunning or as hope-giving as God’s grace. What would your life be like without the transforming power of God’s grace? His grace gives comfort, strength, and encouragement when you face daily challenges both big and small. And best of all, this free gift of God’s grace is available to everyone though a relationship with Jesus Christ".

  13. GRACE why does Paul in particular write about grace and liberty of the Christian gospel for the Spirit-filled believer.

1: the epistles explain the nature and benefits of the doctrine of grace to converts, to those persons who have embraced the fundamentals of the gospel:
repentance from dead works; of faith in Jesus as God and Saviour; of baptisms; and the laying on of hands; and of resurrection of the dead.
Grace is for those who become Christians through obedience to the commandments and teachings of Christ Jesus.

2: to overcome the confusion about how to live the new Christian life and to reject the teachings of converted Jews and others who were demanding
continuing observance of the Mosaic Law and traditions; such as the need to be circumscribed.

    Grace is not a doctrine for slothful christianity wherein the fundamentals do not need to be continued with - such as the denial of water baptism by immersion;
downplaying repentance; denying Mark 16 these signs shall follow them that believe; baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Grace has become the new wave doctrine for anything goes, including sin because under Grace everything is OK and forgiven.
A believer is always covered by grace.
Baptism is works, so is repentance works, and other such doctrinal nonsense.

Paul is merely separating the previous Jewish traditions (Old Testament) from the New Testament applicable to the Spirit-filled Church.
    Galatians 2:
3 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus,
that they might bring us into bondage:
11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself,
fearing them which were of the circumcision.
13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. [hypocrisy]
14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew,
livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ,
that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God,
who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

    Galatians 3:
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Grace comes to us as we walk in the Spirit and pray to be overcomers. Jesus remembers that we are flesh, not yet perfect. Grace covers our stumblings
and errors. When we repent and confess and seek the Lord then Grace is available to cover our wrong doings; yes even our unconfessed sins.
  14. One must be clear in this Waggles....We are not saved by works at all....One can do all sorts of good works and still wind up in hell...."By the empowering PRESENCE of God are we saved, through faith..." God saves us by Himself because we trust HIm. Works follow...

If we do not understand that then everything else we believe about salvation will be skewed. The only specific work that we are to do
John 6:29 (CJB) 29 Yeshua answered, “Here’s what the work of God is: to trust in the one he sent!”

You seem intent on turning this thread into a debate/study

Please look at the original post.

It is about praising the Lord for His wonderful beautiful love, mercy and grace towards us.

Share a word of thanks and praise
    Rejoice in His love

O the love that drew salvation plan
O the grace that brought it down to man!
O, the mighty gulf that God did span
    At Calvary.
    Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
    Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty
    At Calvary*

Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus

  16. Physical healings? Spiritual upliftings? Salvation from financial disaster?

Yes, to all of those and more. Has God's grace worked in my life? Oh, yes, once and then again many times:

Without Him I can do nothing!

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phil 4:13

Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

    Give God the glory!
