Do Not Forget to Entertain Strangers

Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so
doing some people have entertained angels
without knowing it.
( HEBREWS 13:2 *NIV )


One of the functions of angels is to watch over God's Children
here on Earth. For it is written: For He shall give His
angels charge over you, To keep you in all your
ways After all: Are not all angels ministering spirits
sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
( Psalms 91:11 ) ( HEBREWS 1:14 )

Now let me ask you this, have you ever met an angel? Well,
I bet you have! An angel doesn't have to be a spiritual being,
sometimes they are human beings just like you and me.

Further, when you think about it, we all have encountered
another person who has been just like an angel to us. A person
who has reached out to help, comfort and guide us in times of
need. The World is full of these human angels! I'll even bet that
someone has even called you an angel at one time or another!

So the next time you encounter a person in
need, reach out and be an angel to them! For it is Jesus said:
'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the
least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
Amen ( Matthew 25:40 )

You ask has anybody ever met an angel. Well, corny as it may sound, I have, although I didn't see them. Let me explain: I am a relatively new Born-Again Christian who six years ago asked the Lord Jesus Christ to come into my heart as my personal Guide and Saviour. The church where I regularly pray during the week doesn't have a great number of visitors lunchtime, and on this occasion there were only about half a dozen people in the building. I happened to be in the middle of the pew, and while I was praying somebody touched my left shoulder. Alarmed, I spun round to find nobody there. In fact, the nearest person was some 30' away! It was most definately a touch - no way could it have been the wind. I sat there for a few seconds before continuing with whatever I was praying about. It certainly didn't scare me, because I knew I was in the house of God. There are so many things in this world which we can't see but are there nevertheless - television waves for instance. In this case the tap may have been unintentional, but it was definately there. I firmly believe in angels, and that they are sent on God's command to help sort out our problems. It may be that they are required to be born again of the flesh and take up certain positions in life. Maybe a doctor, for example who God decrees is to develope a new drug to fight against cancer. In short, I'd say anything up to one person in three is an angel. The don't have silly little wings which wouldn't support a sparrow - they're just like you and me.

I am sure a lot of us have seen Angels, and not even know it. They are abundantly around.

Not to be picky, but the bible never talks about humans as being angels. We are a higher class then they are. They are just spirits with no God given ability to pick and choose their actions. They are also subject to us.

We do throw the term around "Your just an angel, thank you for helping me." but we need to be careful, with words.

I am not a angel, I am a mighty child of God, and have been set to Judge angels. (1 Cor 6:3)

I know your post was about helping others, but when It comes to God's Kingdom, I try to choose my words carefully. Our enemy loves to play on words.....
