"God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified to me, and I unto the world - Galations 6; 14
Christian! Never shrink from crucifixion, for it is only then that the Holy Spirit is released in your heart and life. You cannot have a Pentecost hill till you've had a Calvary. Oneness with Jesus in his death is an essential preparation for the outpouring of God's Spirit in the heart and life.
The Christian life is a life of replacement, The kind of person we are by nature, is not so important for in this regard we are all equal "for all have sinned and fallen short of God", "none righteous ...No not one". But when Jesus steps across the threshold of our lives it is to replace my self with Him self.
God is never in the self improvement plan...He is always in the Christ-replacement plan. Trying to make oueselves better and to improve ourselves can never be enough. It is, move over and let 'you' be replaced with Jesus.
He puts His life in us and says to us Let it work. Let it loose. "Set your mind on things that are above" The risen life of our Lord is to be perpetuated in each of us, and the crucified life of Jesus also is to be perpetuated in each of us. It is done by Holy Spirit power
Every time someone is born again it is a pulse beat of the life of Jesus in heaven. It is a call to maintain a glorified life in communion with the Risen Lord. Make real in your life what Jesus has made real and actual at the cross.
If I live according to the flesh I shall die; but if by the Spirit I put to death the dees of the flesh, I shall live Rom 8: 13
