It is written:

In six days the Lord made the heavens
and the earth, the sea, and all that is in
them, and rested the seventh day.
Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath
day and hallowed it.
( Exodus 20:11 *NKJV )

It seems that every week I receive emails inquiring about
the day of Worship. So today we will look at who changed the
day of Worship from Saturday, as the Ten Commandments
require, to Sunday.

Now even the Solar calendar used in the time of Moses declared
Saturday as the seventh day. So does our calendar today.
So what changed to make our day of worship the first day
of the week, or Sunday? We must go back in time to about
300 A. D. to find that answer. You see, the Roman Ruler
Constantine, changed the day of worship because
he felt since Christ was resurrected on a Sunday, it was The
Lord's Day, and the best day to worship HIM. Therefore he
ordered all businesses closed on Sunday instead of Saturday.
He also pushed the Church to follow that order as well.
Now they eventually did. Thus Sunday became the day
of worship instead of Saturday, something still followed by
most Churches today. This is another example of man
changing God's Holy Word.

Now not all that Constantine did was against God's Word.
On the plus side, he was the one that made Christianity legal
by proclaiming "The Edict of Milan." That Edict established
tolerance for all religions including Christianity. He further
gave large sums of money to help the Christian faith become
what it is today. So it is not ours to judge him, after all that
job belongs to God, not us.

So now; You shall know the truth, and the
truth shall make you free." Amen. ( JOHN 8:32 )

All My Love & Prayers,
Pastor Allen

Amen brother Allen,

The sabbath day was a gift given to us at creation. From the very begining. It is a day that we can put all other things aside and spend the entire day with our Lord. We except the sabbath by faith believing the Lords word is true and that He is in the sabbath day. There is no other reason to have a seven day week. The seventh day of the week was made for the sole purpose of worship.

We are to work six days every week but the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God and we are to rest. Now if we look at this as a prophecy we see that for six thousand years it is the works of man (sin) but the seventh millinium is a thousand years of rest. The first day of the week is the begining of a new week which is also the eighth, so the the eighth millinium also being the beginning of a new heaven and a new earth.
