THE GREAT PHYSICIAN

"I am the Lord,
who heals you."
Exodus 15:26

From the Father's Heart
My child, rest in Me. I have given you a prescription for healthy living. When you allow your body to stress out and destructive emotions to run rampant, My healing cannot come. I am not only the mender of broken bones and dreams, but I am the restorer of broken hearts and lives. I am the great physician, and I care for all My patients with tenderness and love.

A Grateful Response
Lord, I bring the pains of a wounded heart and the aches of a broken body to You. I feel Your personal presence surrounding me with quiet assurance. Your touch releases my pent-up emotions, and healing flows through me like a fountain. Lord, You are my great physician.

Simple Truth
God's home is where we can hang our hurts.

Thanks for posting that.

Life is never static, is it? Time and chance happen to all. (Ecc 9:11) Situations and circumstances come along that at times our reaction comes from emotion which leads to stress.

Resting in the Lord is the most active place to be. It does not mean that life does not continue, but rather it is walked through differently. I see faith and trusting in the Lord as
linked to fear of the Lord, which brings comfort for those times where it looks like the boat is sinking.

Heard a comment recently that may help some here. They said that they saw fearing the Lord more like actually fearing that they will take the reigns of their own life back. Basically, the trust in the Lord being
pushed out by the fear of not having control of the future, or of present situations. The fear that He would actually allow that to happen.

Act 9:31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.

Rest in this verse is linked to the churches being multiplied. That means there were workers of the Lord putting feet to the ground doing that work. Rest is not inactivity, but trusting that if the Lord says to do
something, or a situation comes up that would lead to fear, stress etc, that we do what He says, then the result is in His hands. That result not always looks like victory. Many times the financial situation gets
much worse, the healing doesn't come, or even after years of working with a person spiritually, they do not seem to be "getting it". Sometimes years of prayers for unbelieving family members and friends seem
to go unheard, unanswered. Family life isn't what was envisioned at the time of walking down the isle, even after years of prayer.

So the question, really, is the perspective of trust. Are we trusting, resting, in the false idea that "working all things for good" is from our own perspective. That the results should be according to our own perfect
will rather than His perfect will. Faith in the Lord means that if the results are left up to Him, and Him alone, then no matter what those results are there is a knowing that there is a purpose, a reason for those
results no matter if they are understood at the time or not.
