FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, My laws are not intended to rain on your party or hinder your freedom in any way. To the contrary, My laws bring freedom and protection. Can you imagine a civilization where every person does what is right in their own eyes? I’ve seen it. And believe Me, you don’t want that. I am the lawgiver. Because there are rules, you know the boundaries. I love you far too much to allow you to make your own rules. Trust Me.
A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
When I was small, my parents gave me rules to follow, designed not for punishment, but for my own protection. You, Lord, are my lawgiver, and Your laws are perfect. They, too, are designed to keep me from harm. My heart wants to obey Your every word, Lord.
