I don't want to bear this anymore
Reach inside me and expose the core
I want no more of filth and sin
But this sinful nature still lies within

I can never wash this blood from my hands
But to serve the Kingdom is where my heart stands
I carry a light that seeks and finds
But darkness is always one step behind

The enemy tries to play with my mind
Even in dreams he's there to remind
To show me the things that the flesh desires
But i must remember that he is a liar

My God in heaven, hear me calling
Take my hand, keep me from falling
Free my spirit from guilt and blame
Keep me encouraged to carry the flame

You are my savior, you are the light
You give me the courage to stand and fight
The enemy will always harass and assail
But no weapon against me will ever prevail
