Christ Will carry You Through To The Finish Line
Are things just not going right? Do you struggle being what God's wants you to be at every turn of your life? Jesus said (paraphrasing): you will have your trials and tribulations in this life but to have good cheer because he has overcome this life and so will you!
When you are down, doubting and kicking yourself because you just can't seem to get things right, turn to St. Paul for help!

Romans 7: 14-20 ; 24
but I am carnal, sold under sin.15 I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.16 Now if I do what I do not want, I agree that the law is good.17 So then it is no longer I that do it, but sin which dwells within me.18 For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot do it.19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do.20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I that do it, but sin which dwells within me.
24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
let's break this down again:
How Paul Struggled
  • I do not understand my own actions
  • I do not do what I want
  • I do the very thing I hate.
  • I do what I do not want
  • nothing good dwells within me
  • I can will what is right, but I cannot do it.
  • I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do
What is Paul's Answer To His Imperfection
  • There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus
So when you are down and out, turn to scripture and Paul's confession. Keep moving forward, keep striving to please God with perfection, but when you are in that valley, don't get discouraged and remember Christ will carry you to the finish line. Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
