Children Must be Reached fo Jesus

Psalm127:3-5 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Children truely are a blessing from our Lord. Where else can you look and be reminded of God's pure love...look into the eyes of a small child and see their smile and everytime you
will see the love of our Lord pouring forth from them. I was reminded of this one day while taking care of my own 2 year old nephew. He was running around playing and got excited at the most littlest of things and would just laugh and giggle uncontrolably just because he found pure joy in those little things...his eyes sparkled and his smile was pure
love...this is because when children are tiny even though born into sin they are still innocent..the world and its ways haven't reached them yet. Like our Father in Heaven our children love unconditionally...it doesn't matter what you look like, what you weigh, if you are rich or poor...none of this matters to a small child they just love you because you love them...Just as Jesus loves us...He loves us and it doesn't matter what we look like or how much we weigh, if we are rich or poor, it matters not what color skin we have
because the Lord sees inside of us and loves us for who we are inperfections and all and He loves and all He asks is that we love Him in return. So, remember when you see a little child arms extended, smile on their face and eyes twinkling that they are showing you our Father's love in its purest form here on earth...look at them and be reminded that Our Father in Heaven is standing, His arms extended and smile on His face waiting for us to come to Him and ready to give us love without any questions.

Little children also teach us about trust...the kind of trust we should have in our Lord Jesus. My 2 year old nephew once again reminded me of this one day when he was on the top bunk of his and his sister's beds...he looked at me and knowing I was there and having faith and knowing I would catch him leaped off the top bunk into my arms...he trusted me to catch him and never doubted for a minute I would...that my friends is the kind of trust we each should have in our Lord Jesus...we should be like a small child and trust our Lord in such a way that we know and believe without a doubt He isn't gonna leave us but will be right there to catch us when we need Him...He will always have His arms out and ready to catch us and lift us up when we fall.

After all this time I finally understand what Jesus meant when He talked in the book of Mark about receiving the kingdom of heaven like a small child. What our Lord was saying was this...small children have a pure love, trust, sincerity, and are completely dependant their parents and those around them...this is how we are to receive Him.. we are to be eager to please Him, completely trusting of Him, love Him unconditionally, and we are to be dependant on Him for everything...knowing that without Him we can not be or do anything but with Him we can achieve and do all things. This is how we are to be like small children...amazing what a 2 year old can teach you and they aren't even aware
they are teaching you...lol! My niece who is turning 9 shortly has also taught me many lessons...yes children are truely a blessing and im thankful for them every day!

Mark 10:15 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.

Its our job as parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents to help these small children grow in the way they should go..so that when the world does reach them and they start learning of its ways they already have a firm foundation to stand on and turn to that of our Lord Jesus Christ. They are never to young to learn of Him and His love...this is the legacy we will all leave behind...the legacy of our Lord Jesus Christ and what better legacy to leave to our children the future generation than that of our Precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Proverbs22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Well spoken!! If I may add just one more point I have noticed in children, some anyway! In whatever joy they display they are so humble in all things.Matt 18:1-6 For a child depends on those who are older, those who they know love them.Just like we should in Jesus! Praise the Lord!
