Change
Searching, searching, forever searching,
For something that cannot be seen
For a hope of things to be
A vision for my spirit to see,
Is it here or is it there?
Will I ever know the way?
Will tomorrow bring with it the strength for another day?
Do I look in vain and waste my time,
Do I live like the rest, and follow without care,
To walk along a path that leads to nowhere,
If I could find the road to change my life
I know the endless searching will stop
At a road to a mountain, that will guide me to the top.
As I look out from the top of the mountain I feel utter peace,
As the world below disappears and I feel myself begin to fade,
And with it all the wrongs I've ever made
There is no one else but my Father and me.
Great happiness has filled my being, of which I have not felt before.
You see I've reached the top, I've found the door
Without having the strength to hold in the overwhelming happiness,
I raise my arms to the sky and cry out, while in the warmth of His love,
For all the words I now hear are showering me from above.
And as the echo of His voice drifts to the valleys below
Darkness flees, illness ceases, and forgiveness is given,
Man has been changed, his Spirit freed, released from its prison.
A change has come upon him, a change he can now see
For a light has come with Truth upon the earth.
To remove the darkness that has blinded him since birth.
And the sin of he who hears shall be forgiven,
His toil will cease and his burden will be become light.
There will be no more wars no more will to fight.
All things have become new.
Children will sing and give praise with every new day
Because of change, they have found the Way.
