'Most of the animal groups that are represented in the fossil record first appear, ‘fully formed’ and identifiable as to their phylum, in the Cambrian Explosion, some 550 million years ago. These include such anatomically complex and distinctive types as trilobites, echinoderms, brachiopods, molluscs, and chordates.'
Substitute 'Creation' and 'some 6,000 years ago' to correct this silly statement?
But then the article goes on: 'Angiosperms (flowering plants) appear rather suddenly in the fossil record… with no obvious ancestors for a period of 80-90 million years before their appearance.'
This sounds curious and seems to suggest that the Garden of Eden had no flowers to delight the first couple. Adam never picked a pretty flower for Eve?
It's hard to believe all evidence of flowering plants was washed away during The Flood?
Paleontologists universally have no conception of the complete erasure of all human and animal life and the Earth's surface during The Flood so just cannot grasp how all the fossils came about and why there are big gaps or peaks in the apparent evolution of everything.
And more stupidity: 'It is believed that around 55 million years ago, certain land mammals lost their hind-limbs and evolved into fully aquatic whales.'
