Calling out denominations?

I see on the news today, that "dozens" of Methodist leaders are opposing the "Mississippi Religious Objections Law" - which gives churches the the freedom to oppose things like transgender bathrooms
and LGBT employment laws.

Dozens of Methodist leaders object to Mississippi's religious objections law | Fox News

I have read in the past that most liturgical denominations are now accepting gay clergy and performing
homosexual marriages. (Lutheran's, Presbyterians, Anglicans, etc... ) Wikipedia actually has a page listing LGBT-affirming churches.

LGBT-affirming Christian denominations - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

================================================================================================

Many of these denominations have been very traditional and mainstream in their beliefs about
things like abortion, homosexuality, gender change procedures, and even pedophilia.
But the winds of change have been blowing, and it seems some churches (or at least the core leadership
of those churches) are revealing their true colors.

I myself personally - no longer consider these churches part of the body of Christ.
I have been called judgmental and have received several comments about judging others.
But the Bible says we are supposed to judge those in the church.

Some of these denominations believe in OSAS (once saved, always saved) so therefore if you were
saved before you decided to support LGBT lifestyles - you're still saved.

Yet other denominations say it's no longer a sin, that was only for Jews, and only in the old testament.

Finally, there some denominations that say it's "probably" a sin, but God is love, and He loves everyone
regardless of their sexual nature.

===============================================================================================

While a lot of churches are calling for ecumenism and tolerance, I personally don't feel we should be
joining with those who do not follow the Bible. In my opinion... this is the same as joining yourself
and becoming "one body" with a non-believer. ( 2 Cor 6:14-17; ) We are told to "come out from among them"
and "be separate from them".

We are not supposed to be tolerant or friendly with these churches and their teachings.
We are not supposed to even associate with these people, we are told don't even eat with them. 1 Cor 5:11;

================================================================================================

I have mostly been talking about homosexuality in this post, but some churches have accepted drug use, abortions, and many other things in last decade or so.

There has actually been legislation resented in this state to make child pornography legal,
they are calling it a victim-less crime, we already have transgender bathroom laws here.
I have a feeling pedophilia and child-molestation are the next two items on the agenda.

I'm sure some will disagree with me for calling these denominations out...
But I say we call it what it is. False doctrines, and a doctrine of demons.

Your mentioning the Presbyterian Denomination and calling the out is appropriate.This is very true and I left my church of 30 years because of this. But, I must point out that many of the churches in different Presbyteries have splintered of into traditional conservative Presbyteries, like the Evangelistic Presbytery. They maintain that marriage is still considered to be between a man and a woman and, not adhering to the new Liberal /Progressive views that are secular and not Bible based!

Speak the Word of God and allow God to do the cleansing. Jesus is the only one that is perfect and we better be found in Him. Speak to the unclean spirits. Call it what it is. It is an an abomination to God. Can they be saved, just like us? Sure they can, just like us. Sin is sin. Having respector of persons is sin against God. ALL have sinned...... and our sins has been and is covered by the blood of the Lamb.
All praise, glory and honor be unto God Amen

If I am hearing you right and please excuse me if I am not....but "they" being saved is not the question. They wanting us to accept their unrepentant life style is!, much more marrying them!...and because of their unrepentant ideology, they can not be saved. It is our charge to show them the difference.

Speak the truth, shine the light, and let God do what God does. He is still in control.

Times like these might seem hard for the church, but if you look from another respective it is very good for the church.
It allows those who have been playing church and not really part of the body of Christ to be exposed and for the
true Christians to stand up. The real body of Christ is an elect few, not the millions and millions in our country
that claim to follow Jesus. Thank you Jesus for purging your Church(body of Christ) of all who don't belong.

Christians persecution will come, believe it(its already here). The true Christians will stand for truth,
others will keep silent, decieved, or willfully join the enemy to escape the pain, suffering, and embarrassment that
Christians will go through as we stand for Christ. When it is all done, we will be glad that we did.

I imagine the times of slavery. Some churches kept silent on speaking out against the government and the laws that supported that evil. But I'm sure
that those who did stand up can look back and be proud that they did.

Lose that job, lose those friends, be called a bigot, get looked at funny for using the name of Jesus in mixed company,
I assure you what you gain as a reward from God will be greater than any reward man could give you.

I agree with you totally brother.

Stand strong.

Also I would ask those Methodist Pastors, "who hates you, or what group of people hate you?".

I think they would quickly reply, " No one" or "we act in love so that people won't have feelings of hate towards us".

Unfortunately for them they forget John 15:18
"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first".

If as Christians we find the world approving of everything we do and every position we hold we need to take a serious self examination of ourselves. We don't set out to be hated but it comes with the territory of standing up for truth. Hey they killed Jesus because of what He had to say, that should tell you about what we should expect.

You have these so called Christians who have the exact same view as the secular culture on

Marriage
Abortions &
Transgendered Rights

If these are the major issues and there is no difference between your position as a Christian on these issues as the world, than one must ask themselves what do I have to share? What did Jesus mean in the Great Commission when He instructed us to go and teach the world. How can you teach them what they already know, or why would you teach them if they are doing everything right?

Someone mentioned the times of slavery being similar to these in setting aside certainly sinful things as being OK, and it is so, but what also comes to my mind is the situation in Germany under Hitler even before the war began. Germany was a supposedly very Christian nation yet both Catholic and Protestant churches leadership along with membership for the most part turned their heads away from what was happening especially to the Jews among them. They effectively redefined what it meant to be Christ-like and the same thing is occurring today in these United States and other supposedly Christian nations.

We [the people who supposedly are the government] pass new laws or have new Court interpretations applied and rather than standing our ground on the Lord's side, many too quickly jump on the band wagon of changing definitions or of what God means. It is going from bad to worse.

In Germany although many were guilty, at an appropriate moment the assassination of Hitler might have saved millions of lives. In the United States there is no one person that could be assassinated that would stop the negative momentum... that is the momentum away from God and His Way.

A verse which comes to mind here is this one:

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." II Chron 7:14

Is it still possible for it all to turn around? Of course, if all those who bear the name, Christian, were to take the words of that verse to heart and apply it with all that they are... but how likely, is it?

Help us dear Lord as we proceed into this situation. Let all of us here stand firmly on Your side and no other!

Well if anything calls out clearly "END TIMES" it must be this corruption and calling good evil, and evil good.
Time for the world to burn and be cleansed.

[2Pe 3:9 NASB] 9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Agreed brother. However, I am with God on this.

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

We know and see the corruption in the group element. This should not be a surprise for anyone of us. Scripture speaks of these days and the end of days will surely happen. Until then what we need to focus on is the task at hand which is the individual. That is where the Gospel needs to be preached and where repentance, and salvation can be found.

I too long for a new heavens and a new earth. However, until that day, continue the increase of the Kingdom of God whose citizens we are a part of. This has always been His desire for us to do. To His Glory!

Anyone who will "compromise" the truth (Word of God) for the sake of bringing peace never knew what the truth is was to begin with. The Wisdom that comes down from above is "first" "pure" (uncompromising) before it is anything else.

They do not represent all of those in the Methodist Church.

They especially don't represent most of the African American Methodist Churches, I'll say that much.
