California Homosexual Agenda

Discussion in 'News Stand' started by Chad, Oct 14, 2007.

  1. California Homosexual Agenda
(This information is copied from a Focus on the Family mailer.

I just found this. Its a bit late. But better late than never.)
The homosexual agenda is raging in the California legislature, but there is hope if concerned citizens do their part and get involved. Anti-family legislators have introduced bills to push homosexuality on all parts of society and penalize citizens who are morally opposed to homosexual behavior. Committee votes will begin in late March or early April on the following bills:

AB=Assembly Bill SB=Senate Bill (Sponsor name in parenthesis)
AB 222 (Kuehl) and SB 1260 (Hayden): Promoting Homosexuality and Bisexuality to Schoolchildren.

    AB 222
would result in homosexual curriculum and promotion of homosexual "marriage" to students in K-12 public schools, public colleges and universities. Quotas for homosexual instructors would be indirectly pursued, and federal "hate crime" funds would be used to punish schools that resist the gay agenda. If AB 222 passes, religious schools who do not comply could be banned from interscholastic sports leagues, and students at religious colleges could be prohibited from receiving state financial aid. A second bill, SB1260, would require homosexual curriculum to be taught to schoolchildren as young as kindergarten, including mandated sessions on "homophobia."

AB 1001 (Villaraigosa): Tax-funded Investigations and Fines Against Citizens Who Oppose Homosexuality

AB 1001 awards official minority status for homosexuality and bisexuality, putting "sexual orientation" on the same level as race and ethnicity in the powerful Faith Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). This could result in tax-funded investigations and $25,000 fines against property owners, business owners, Bible bookstores, religious radio stations, and even some churches that oppose homosexuality. Also, because this bill declares homosexuality or bisexuality to be an official "civil right," if passed, children in public schools will be taught all about the homosexual political movement.
    Homosexual Marriage "Partnership" Bills

Four bills would create homosexual-marriage "partnerships" to award official government status and marriage benefits to homosexuals; AB 26 (Migden), AB 107 (Knox), SB 75 (Murry), and SB 118 (Hayden). These "domestic partners" bills would undermine the sacred institution of marriage and promote same-sex "marriage" (95% of "domestic partners" are homosexuals). If these bills pass, it will be more difficult to legally protect California from homosexual "marriage" and its accompanying negative consequences.

    Action Steps

    Step 1

Contact your own assemblymember and state senator to urge them to "Oppose AB 1001, AB 222, and the rest of the gay agenda bills."
Phone, fax, e-mail, make personal visits, or write your assemblymember, being sure to use his or her full name at: State Capitol, Sacramento, CA 95814

Go to the front of your phone book, look under the "Government" pages under Assembly and State Senate, or go to the Internet at Capitol Resource Institute - Capitol Resource Institute where you can find your state legislators by entering your zip code.

    Step 2

The legislators who are critically important to the outcome on these issues are listed below. Please contact these key legislators, in addition to your own assemblymember, and urge them to "Protect schoolchildren and citizens from government-sponsored homosexuality. Oppose AB 1001, AB 222, and the rest of the gay legislative agenda."

  2. Thank you for posting this, God bless.

    Lets be counted.

  3. We must make our voices heard!! Stand up and be counted. Thanks for posting this!

  4. Thanks for posting chad,we need to stand up for our Lord in this

  5. I'm praying against the growth of homosexuality in the world. I'm afraid it'll come to a time where homosexuality is normal, if it already hasn't.

  6. Thank you for posting this Chad. Homosexuality is a terrible issue that just seems to be getting worse. I am praying that this issue does not continue to persist and that these bills will not be passed.

  7. sexual orientatio regulations

Have just read your thread on homosexuality. we already have this in England. there is now civil patnerships for same sex couples, the government say its not marriage, but it does give a same sex couple the same rights as married couples, and then thers the sor's ( sexual orientation regulations) which state that you cannot discriminate against someone whos gay, it also means that schools, foster carers and other agencies that work with children and young people must promote homosexuality as an alterative lifestyle.
The new regulations in this country scare me because it seems that it's christians who are getting the flack for standing up for what they believe in, the church is seen as homophobic and that is turning gay people away from God and the church.
when we need to be reaching out to the gay community these laws make it seem like we are against gay people.
Remember to love the sinner but hate the sin, and being gay isn't a sin. the sin happens when 2 people of the same sex have sex.
Is this any worse than 2 people of the opposite sex have sex together outside if marriage?

  8. If a church allows homosexuality, then it is NOT a church that belongs to the body of Christ at all. This includes the congregation and the attendees (the so called believers).

    Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

In the end, these people who willfully disobeyed GOD in their lifestyle, unrepentantly will pay the final price. I am confident that GOD grants every human a chance to eternal life in Christ one way or another. There is no excuse for any conscious adult old enough, mature enough to make their own choices to disregard GOD's commands.

I heard of a Catholic church in San Francisco that allowed gay marriages, even people outside the church (in front) dressed up for Halloween. Some dressed up as devils. This was allowed by the head priest of that church. Frankly, that man is a coward for caving into people's desires instead of sticking by GOD's truth and commands. He fell to please people instead of GOD. He knew what he was doing.

This world unfortunately only gets worse by the day. Its an obvious truth if you have eyes to see things around you. Turn on the news. Any good news? Someone hit a home run and sign a $20 million contract to play games? Is that the best news we can get today?

I played in a band once where the bass player had to tell me he was gay before we went any further. He openly admitted that actually he was bisexual and admitted that he was just a (removed). These were his own words to describe himself. To me it seemed that all he was really interested in was sex no matter who gave it to him. This is not a reason to be preaching to our children and having laws passed to be protected all under the guise of homophobia. As far as I'm concerned this is no different than being addicted to drugs. So how would that go over with the community? Oh it's my lifestyle to shoot heroin and it's my right... Oh judge! please make sure the children grow up to understand that some of us shoot heroin and that they should grow up to embrace our life style. Stand firm brothers and sisters, this world is messed up.

  10. I'm 200% agree with Chad. I'm wandering why Homosexual is being tolerable nowadays. Many people fight for that on the behalf of "Human Rights" without considering about "the rights of children who somehow have to grow up in that mess up and blurred society"
I once read in Belgia or Dutch (if i'm not mistake) Homosexual couple was permitted to addopt a child. While reading that I asked myself what would that child become in the future? What would their parents teach them? How could they understand if Homosexual is something awful if they are forced to become accustomed to that when still so young? Too bad that many people don't understand we are responsible to each other. when we do something wrong it then has consequences that will impact not only our selves but also others'. I believe God will allow all sins to be done unless it doesn't cause any harm to ouselves and someone else. But it does.

What a shock knowing there was a church could even tolerate it. Remember, Jesus said we are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men (matthew 5:13) God put all Christians in this world to be His witnesses, we are the mouth of the Lord. So let our 'Yes' be 'Yes' and our 'No,' "No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one. So when we find something wrong we must say it is wrong and against it, even if it costs our life.

    God bless

  11. I'm not saying that the church should allow a gay couple to join, if a gay couple want to become christians and join the church they have to be told their lifestyle is wrong and a sin before God and they need to change their lifestyle and abstain from sex.
But if a person who identifys as gay or bisexual and is celebate wants to join the church then he or should be welcomed, but made aware that the bible teaches that gay sex is a sin and that we are not going to water down the word of God because it offends someone.
John 3:16 says for God so loved the world that whoever believes in him should not die but have eternal life. This includes gay people as well if it didnt then our God is a hypocrite.

  12. I agree with you Yvette. Jesus is what they need and they should be welcomed in church with love and compassion. We are all sinners.

  13. Apologies if my lack of knowledge or understanding of scripture makes my post seem rather naive but I thought I'd add my 2 penny's worth.

I understand that many of you have a deeper understanding of scripture and I welcome being put right on that matter if applicable, but what about non-practising homosexuals? Those who solemnly abstain from sexual activity? I was always under the impression (again I welcome being corrected on this if applicable) that scripture was against those who engage in gay and unGodly sexual behaviour?

  14. I would say that scripture is against homosexual behavior but it's also against things like drunkeness and adultery and gossip and judging others.
If someone has a tendancy to be attracted to the same sex then that is their struggle, their sin to fight against. I have sins to fight against too and there is no way I can put myself above others just because I don't happen to have the same problem that they do. I think the account of where Jesus was speaking to a crowd that wanted to stone a woman for harletry (pardon the spelling) is applicable. He who is without sin cast the first stone. This doesn't mean that we are to allow this sin to be promoted in our churches and our country. I mean really, what IS the difference between promoting homosexuality and drug use? Both are hated by God. But the question of whether or not a person is born that way has been used to confound the situation. Our country had no problem banning the use of illegal drugs. It's just that I think there is a certain discomfort and a bit of confusion towards homosexuality more so than with drug abuse. I think drug abuse creates a more obvious "hell" for people too so it's easier to love and be compassionate towards drug abusers maybe. Myself, it makes me uncomfortable when I'm around a man that I think could be lusting after me but that still shouldn't mean that I treat them any differently with regards to sharing God's love and compassion. If I was approached by a gay man in a sexual way I would be repulsed however, I would also react negatively to someone offering me drugs but not at all in the same manner. Homosexuality makes me squirm a little more than some of the other sins because it makes me uncomfortable. Maybe this is why in general it seems to the homosexual seeking membership in a church that people hate them. I don't know for sure but this is the way it seems to me.

  15. Hadoz i think you're right about homosexuality making people uncomfortable, because it is something very rarly addressed in the church people dont understand it, i know a few gay people and i know that they wouldn't make a sexual advance to anyone who was straight, because most straight people dont take that to well and would give them a beating.
I dont like the knew sexual orientation regulations here in Britain but i am reluctant to impose christian morality on people who are not christian i don't think that can be sucessful and it won't win anyone to christ, and 1 cor5:12-13 would seem to back up my view.
1Cor 5:12-13 For what have i to do with judging those who are outside? do you not judge those who are inside?
But put those who are outside God judges. Therefore put away the evil person.
My study bible has interpretted this the same way i have and when put in context with the rest of the chapter when it says put away the evil person paul is talking about people within the church who are committing sin.
As someone who identifys as bisexual this is a subject that i have thought and prayed about for many years.
