Friday, November 21st, I had a procedure called "bronchoscopy" (a biopsy of my lung mass) performed at a hospital. This type of procedure sent a tube of some sort down my throat into my lung and it had a robotic camera (not the best description, sorry) which then takes pictures inside my lung and which helps the doctors navigate inside my lung without having to cut me open on the outside, which a normal biopsy does, and which is less risky (but still risky) than a standard biopsy, and which they say is more accurate, too. My head is swimming a little bit and I am doctoring a sore throat, but otherwise it appears that, by the grace of God, I survived the procedure. They are looking to see if the lung mass inside my lung is cancer or if it is an infection and what kind of damage it might be doing in there, if any. The hospital staff were all top notch! Everyone was so kind and so friendly, and that really helps, too!!

Two months ago I started having severe chest pains and pressure and difficulty breathing, so I have been going through a series of tests to find out what is causing all of my suffering. I believe God has me on this journey right now for a reason and so I have been following his lead through the whole process. They did learn that I have decreased breathing capacity and that I have some heart issues and now they are examining the mass in my lung to see what impact that is having on my pain, too. So, one day at a time, trusting the Lord, believing he has a plan and a purpose for it all, and that his will will be accomplished. Sue
