Are you a people pleaser and is it more important to gain the acceptance of others at any cost? Could it be possible you would bow down because you were told to? These days we don't have gold statues for idols, but we do have corporate cultures, politics and celebrities all demanding your worship. Pay attention to the pressure you feel and work on standing firm in God. A time will come when it's up to you to decide for yourself if you will bow down.

Which brings to mind this verse from Joshua:

"And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15
