Hello, I am new here and have been diligently seeking a place where I could come in brotherly/sisterly love to discuss why I love Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, my Saviour. I guess the only way to start is at the beginning. Only 1 yr 1/2 ago, I was a self-loathing, guilt-ridden, mean-spirited, hell-bound lost Catholic soul. I was paying tribute to the devil and didn’t even know it! I always knew that my Abba Father was with me because since the ripe age of 5, I remember questioning the adults dedicated to raising me, "Mommy, who is God? Daddy, where is God?" Even before I knew what the word God meant, I was shocking people with my questioning of Him at such a young age, but I distinctly recall my parents talking about Him throughout my childhood. Later at 16, I screamed at the top of my lungs, "Anyone, why is God doing this to me?" That was 28 yrs ago but the last yr 1/2 has been quite remarkable for me for one reason, not because I have a good job or because I met a lot of nice people but because I am born again. I am not proud of this supernatural blessing from my Abba Father, but am completely overwhelmed by my present humble state because of it. (1 John 4:10--Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.)

I rejoice in my Abba's love for me, in forgiving my repentant heart and bringing me to my beloved bridegroom Jesus but He has also sent me the gift of His loving Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God is not only His Holy witness but is also my most faithful comforter and truest teacher. He guides me to all the truths God wants me to know. He bears witness through scripture all the things I now know about Jesus my glorious Saviour. My personal relationship with Him is my reason for being here and neither will I allow my salvation to be a shame to Him nor will I add one more stripe to His precious body, I am totally enamoured with Him. So, therefore I walk, I go and I love all the brethren as He has commanded me. (John 14:21--21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.)

I am writing not only to express my gratitude and love for Abba, Y’Shua and Rouah for saving me, but also for loving me so faithfully even in my most wretched moments. I am not saved by works (the law) but by grace (God’s enduring love & boundless mercy). For me, having accepted His son Jesus as my saviour was the end of one worldly life (my own) and the birth of another spiritual one (Jesus’ life in me). (2 Corinthians 12:9-10--9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.).

The Lord’s meticulous preparation of my soul (gentle yet chastening) along with His unfathomable patience and lovingkindness towards me (comforting yet wondrous) has brought me to His only begotten son, Jesus Christ (the beloved bridegroom). He is my joy and I am His when I keep His commandments. (Jeremiah 33:11--11The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.)

I am not certain why the Lord has brought me here (if only to testify of His eternal Glory), however, I fear the Lord our God, who made heaven and earth and all that is therein, therefore I obey. I obey not only out of fear, but out of my deep love for Him and my sincere desire to “seek Him” wholly. I hope to be used here in a way that is glorifying to God. Thank you Father, for your lovingkindness. Praise the Lord. Amen (Psalm 111:10--10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.)

Peace be with you.

Wow! I can't believe no one has replied here. This sounds great: unflinching devotion to Christ set in a biblicaly sound context. There has to be some compelling life events, trials and tests, to forge such a determined declaration of loyalty to Jesus Christ in these kinds of hard hitting terms.

Thanks for shareing this. I liked it. May God keep you in his narrow way for the glory of His Son. ...DGB

The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts!

after reading your other posts I fear that your attitude and writing in them is very different than this post..

I don`t see the fruits of the Spirit manifest anywhere in AbbazGirls other posts or profile, regrettably this is the difference between those who are truly Born Again, and those who`ve just learned to 'talk the talk'

Amen Coconut! It's not our confession of Him, but rather His confession of us that makes us the family of God.
