Born again believers protected by Angels?

I could very well be mistaken here, but I thought I remembered reading somewhere in the Bible, that all born again believers were protected by God's holy angels? I couldn't track down a verse so it leads me to believe that maybe this was somebodies speculation, rather than solid biblical fact? It would sure be nice to have that reassurance, though. Haha

Amen bro this was very helpful. I almost think of Angels being like God's personal military he can send out to help out believers on earth. The bible tells us to be equipped with the full armour of God and surely Angels are very good allies to have on our side!

Also, yeah you're completely right about not praying to angels or idolizing them in any way. God alone deserves all that praise and attention. The Angels were humble about it too in scripture.

Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God - Revelation 22:9

Some new agers believe that they contact angels, but in reality, they're on dangerous ground and are being fooled by Satan's fallen angels.

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. - 2 Corinthians 11:14

These Angels can radiate the fear and power of the Lord. It just takes one of these guys to show up, and everyone's knee's are going to hit the ground. If someone even thinks about doing you harm, all they have to do is just make their presence know a little bit, Whisper something maybe, and that Person won't think about you anymore.

When my daughter was born, I was standing at the table where they clean the babies up, and get all the goo off of them. Suddenly, I felt something standing next to me. It was not the anointing of God, but it's hard to describe. Something powerful, I felt the fear of the Lord coming off this thing . It just stood there with me for a moment. I just knew that if something was going to harm my daughter, it would have to get through the guy next to me, and that would not be possible.

I also just knew somehow it was an angel of the Lord, looking with me at my Daughter. I went and told my wife in the next room, that I sort of met my Daughters angel. I certainly knew better to speak to him, and he was not talking to me.. I was just sort of frozen there.

Later that night, while my wife was alone and feeding my daughter, some guy in a military outfit just walked into her room, walked next to the bed and just watched my daughter for a moment. He then just turned around and left.

We both have no idea what that meant or was about.

I'd like to point out that angels protect FUTURE born-again believers (Heb.1:14).

And I'd like to ask your opinion ...

Since Satan's angels can obviously speak to people (i.e. put thoughts into their heads),
cannot God's angels do likewise?

We see a common theme here of how absolutely powerful and frightening an encounter with these Angels must seem like. Right after though, they show their true fruit from the Lord and reassure to the believers that everything will be ok.

Wow, this is very interesting to know. For all a person knows, the friendly guy who helps fix your broken down truck on the road could be sent from God almighty. I've had a few strange encounters with people where there goodness has just seemed otherwordly. Of course, I don't want to jump to conclusions right away, but it's still something to think about.

It reminded me somewhat of this video I watched months ago, about this Satanist who went to cast spells and demons on to these two new Christians who repulsed him. Later on, the demons who returned back to him said that these guys were guarded by giant (approx 10 ft tall) Angels with broad swords, and they couldn't stand a chance! It was a good story because this guy ended up repenting and accepting Christ.

In reference to the demons fleeing- The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. - Proverbs 28:1

Satan's devils don't have to "read our thoughts/minds"... because satan already knows how the mind operates -- he's observed us for thousands of years. The Bible says that, "the god of this world hath blinded the minds of those which believe not..." (2 Cor. 4:4). How does he do this? How does he affect the mind?

Your mind is in your head. The two eye holes and two ear holes are the means by which it receives input. Eve was seduced by the tree because it was "pleasant to the eyes." This is why we 'watch' the weather and news on TV, rather than listen to it on the radio. Since it worked so well for Eve, the serpent packages his mind-numbing message in a pleasant-to-the-eyes package.

The Bible says, "I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes." (Psa. 101:3). "Take heed what ye hear..." (Mark 4:24). As Christians, we can attempt to do that, but what if the enemy were to be as the serpent in the garden? The Bible says that "the serpent was more subtil than any..." (Gen. 3:1), and that satan is "...the prince of the power of the air" (Eph. 2.2).

We're talking about subliminal mind control. For example, I realize that most Christians don't know that subliminal embeds are used in all media.

Believers (and unbelievers) are ignorant of the various media embeds they are unwittingly subjecting themselves to daily. These embeds are, no doubt, the source of many of the hurtful notions and temptations Christians needlessly bear.

The book of Hosea says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." (Hos. 4:6).

I had a similar experience that always stays in my mind. I had just had my 2nd son, he was a few weeks old. I was lying next to him on the bed, nursing him. In an instant I felt like a towering powerful being stood behind me. I also felt froazen, too scared to turn around. It felt like a giant brick wall of just pure strength. I felt a love coming from it that filled my whole being and then some. It was overwhelming the love being directed at my baby. Then in another instant the presence was gone. I was left assured that my baby was very very well loved and protected! He is 3 now and says Jesus loves you all the time.

I have never always understood angels in the Bible. As many of you have pointed out some great scripture as to both there types and purpose. If angels are so smart as many people believe them to be,how is it that they have no soul? How is it that so many were so stupid to follow the enemy!! and become demons? And how is it,that if they are so important, that we ourselves will judge them!! ( ( 1 Cor 6:3) How is it that since the beginning, we have never heard of an angel going from bad to good? Or from good to bad?

Are they made like a program in a computer? If I was an angel created by God himself,how then could I have even been so stupid to follow the devil?? When he is not my creator? I do not understand why an angel of the Lord would ever think to fall to someone as evil as the enemy is!

I have witnessed 3 in my life time myself.But I sure can tell you this!! I do not understand them.And I sure could not be led by them either. I guess I will study more about them.You all have made some wonderful thoughts as to them,and there purpose!

I have seen bad ones as well.But what I have not seen is why they stay as they are,if they have a free will. I mean, if I made a mistake in something, I would not make the same mistake again if I could avoid it!

Like walking down the street and looking at my phone instead of where I was walking and I fell into a dark hole and hurt myself.The next time I walked down that street I would be looking!! LOL But it seems now that angels are what they are,and cannot change?? Are they not free to change because of sin? Sin that Jesus himself died and rose again for us only!! Perhaps so.I just do not understand a lot about angels!Perhaps some of you can help me in this.Thanks all! You have got my mind thinking a lot!
