“Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:1-4 NASB1995)
As followers of Jesus Christ, we must all be people of faith who have renounced all sinful ways to follow our Lord in obedience to his commands. And as those who are sharing the truth of the gospel with the people of the world, we are to be those who have rejected the very notion of walking (in conduct, in practice) in craftiness and/or in adulterating the word of God, which is what so many people are doing today in the name of Christ Jesus. But we are to be teachers of truth and righteousness, from the Scriptures.
But please know that many who are teaching lies, and who are adulterating the Scriptures, to make them more palatable to human flesh, are also those who are teaching the gospel from the Scriptures, but they are removing these doctrinal Scriptures out of their appropriate context, and they are twisting the Scriptures to their advantage to make them teach what they do not say if taught in the correct biblical context. But it has the outward appearance of truth, and so many people are believing the lies as truth.
Not only must we be servants of the Lord who are teaching the truth of the gospel as Jesus and his New Testament apostles taught it, in biblical context, but we must be those who are exposing and who are refuting the lies of Satan being taught by people professing themselves to be ministers of the gospel, but in reality are wolves in sheep’s clothing (fakes) out to destroy the church, the body of believers in Jesus Christ, and to destroy the gospel of our salvation, in order to lead many to hell on the promise of heaven.
For so much of what is called “church” today is not the biblical body of Christ with Christ as her only head, but they are conglomerates of human origin incorporated (merged, joined, united) with the government and with the world in an unholy union, which God forbids. And they are marketing “the church” to the people of the world via adulterating the gospel to make it more acceptable to the ungodly, and via worldly methods of entertainment, fun, and fascination to draw in large crowds of people into their gatherings.
[Matthew 21:12-13; John 2:13-17; Acts 5:27-32; 1 Corinthians 1:10-13; 1 Corinthians 3:1-9; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; Philippians 3:18-19; Revelation 2:1-29; Revelation 3:1-22; Revelation 13:5-8; Revelation 18:1-5]
And teaching the gospel message which Jesus taught, and which his New Testament apostles taught, is not going to be what draws in large crowds of people from the world. And so they changed the gospel message to make it less offense to the world and more acceptable to human flesh, so that pretty much anyone can confess faith in Jesus and be promised forgiveness of all sins and heaven as their eternal destiny, but regardless of how they live. But if they believe the lie, and obey their flesh, they do not have life in Christ.
For Jesus Christ taught that to come to him we must deny self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin), and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to living in sin and for self, we will lose our lives for eternity. But if we deny self, die daily to sin, by the Spirit, and we walk in obedience to our Lord and to his commands, in his power, then we have eternal life with God. For not everyone who calls him “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one DOING (obeying) the will of God (see Luke 9:23-26; Matthew 7:21-23).
And we learn in 1 John 1-3 that if we claim that we have fellowship with God, but yet we walk in darkness (sin), we are liars. If we claim that we know God, but we do not obey his commandments, in practice, we are liars. For it is not the one who claims he is “in Christ” who is “in Christ,” but it is the one who has denied self, died with Christ to sin, and who is now walking in obedience to our Lord and to his commands, in practice, and no longer in sin. We have the hope and the promise of eternal life with God in heaven.

Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.
Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Men deceiving: We’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.
