why do we bless are selfs before god .
every blessing I have heard or read it always goes bless you bless me bless grandma bless the u.s.a. should it not start bye blessing Jesus or God first .
something like Bless the beloved God Jesus then go in to blessing yourself or grandma .

how can God give blessings to you if he has none to give ?

simply bye blessing God as you would bless grandma God then would give himself a blessing . it is just my thought to my understanding of the bible . you could give him your faith .
you are not the only one who has said what can i give God . you know the bible but do you understand it ?

But if I bless grandma am I not asking God to bless her? When you say bless you or God bless then you are asking God to bless them, aren't you? So if I say bless you Lord, what does that actually mean? Bless yourself?

I don't think anybody understands the entire Bible, we spend our entire lives learning.

yes if you bless grandma you are asking for God to give her what she needs . If you Bless God then God will give himself what he needs . God will put grandma first if you ask him it is the whey he is . Bye not blessing God you have forgot him or you are greedy of Blessings to him . It shows that you think more of yourself or grandma then you do of God . That is the whey i understand it you can show me where Im wrong in the bible if you like . ?

Oh ok well that is simple think God needs a cup of coffee after all that work . But now I have to give gramdma a blessing cus she is sick now i start my prayer to him and say bless grandma so he never got to make that cup of coffee cus he needed to make sure grandma was ok first . before he could get that coffee or water . now someone elses grandma needs blessing and someone needs something else and so on . so God being of a good heart puts them first without takeing time for himself without giving himself what he needs . You and most ppl think he just takes what he needs but he loves us so he trys to give us what he can . and goes without for us . That is why I Bless him before I ask him to bless anyone or anything first . that is my understanding to it .

My understanding of blessing God is not like a blessing we receive from Him. When we bless God it means we acknowledge the things He has done and we glorify His name and make it known among the nations.

I will pray about it more and do some research, because I want to know the truth no matter what. Will get back to you as soon as I have something.

that chapter explanes his sacrifice and jealousy . his promise .
see what you come up with I understand it as gold silver are his jealousy and sacrifice that he gave to who asked for it . that he just got tired of all he dune for us . that is why I say Bless him if it means he will be happy. I can go with out . see blessing your gold silver or grandma over and over makes God jealous you forgot him you forgot the maker of gold and grandma . really read the hole chapter it is short. I would like other thoughts on this . is there a chaplin in the house .

My brother, you are not making any sense. In my opinion, God doesn't need any blessings. He doesn't need anything. There are things that He wants, such us our love, devotion, obedience etc., but there is nothing He needs.

You speak of Him as though He is one of us. He is the Almighty, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent Creator of the universe. He is the Alpha and Omega! Is is our Father, our Lord, our Saviour, the very reason we breathe! He doesn't need anything and if He did it certainly would not be from us or anything else.

I dont believe we should bless God because if you read Hebrews 7 where Melchizedek blesses Abraham the writer states that the greater blesses the lesser so we as the lesser cant bless God the Greatest.
