By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
Just a thought! Was God tired from working 6 days that He rested? Of course not! He cannot and does not tire because He is El Shaddai- Almighty God.
But we need to rest and recuperate because we are not yet like Him. A day off from work is a good thing, even if we are in the ministry. Spending time with family, meditating on God and His Word and just resting.
Just imagine, God telling the angels after 6 days of creation- I am taking a day off. No phone calls please and put that “Do not disturb” sign on my door.
