Bitterness or Betterness

Oh yes I know words were said behind the back making the blood boil
The lies that were told the gossip being spread hurt so bad I know but,
We can either let the hurt and anger turn to bitterness letting satan win

Lies spread like wild fire will only spread more with dry heat and wind
Truth will prevail the fire of lies will be contained through the power of love
Hard to grasp I know,harder to do when hurt, but even a wild animal knows

In order to survive must lick the wound even though knows going to hurt
Stick are sticks, stones are stones, words are words, even though they,
Hurt, so does stubbing our own toes, life still must go on

We can let bitterness take over or can better ourselves through circumstances
Bitterness or betterness is our choice can either give into satan destroying
Ourselves and those around, or better ourselves using the truth to build

two thousand years ago the Son of God came down doing miracles but then
Was betrayed by a kiss then whipped and beaten hung on a cross to die
Could have cried out in bitterness to have ten thousand angels free him

Instead cried out it is finished using betterness to rebuild His kingdom
Conquering satan, hell and the grave, saving us all from a terrible fate
Why because truth with love heals souls through out the land

This is true we can either get bitter or better through prayer and your poem bring the message through in a great way.
