Preaching is an anointing from God. Men may lay hands on candidates for preaching positions, but only God confers the anointing. Trust me, I've heard many sermons preached by men who had preaching positions but obviously did not have the anointing.

Amen again! I have seen UN-anointing preaching as well! They trusted in academics.
