Re: #2 - The wolf, the leopard, and the lion are carnivorous predators. The others instinctively shun them lest they be eaten.

SLE

#5 is Amnon who fell in love (actually it was lust) with his half-sister Tamar.

Hello hadirfuss,

I did some studing and this is what I found so far:

1. Timothy was part Jewish and part Greek - Acts 16:1

2. The Bible says the following animals would lie down together in peace: wolf, lamb, leopard, kid goat, calf, lion, and yearling. What was unusual about this group of animals was that a child would lead them. Also the animals that are known to be carnivorous, don't seem to be that way anymore. - Isaiah 11:5-7

4. The six of the items of armour of spiritual warfare discussed by Paul is from Ephesians 6: 10- 18
> belt of truth
> breastplate of righteousness
> feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace
> shield of faith
> helmet of salvation
> sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God

5. The Bible personality Amnon thought he loved with his sister Tamar. (But like SpiritLedEd said it was lust.) - 2 Samuel 13:1-21

7. The three cities that Jesus cursed were Korazin, Bethsaida & Capernaum- Matthew 11:20-24

9. The Lord prophesied that Eli's descendant's would no longer serve a priests and would be replaced by a faithful priest. The Lord then prophesied that the descendant's of this faithful priest would offer something to the Lord.
I believe is to Samuel but I am not sure for I haven't found any about what was offered. (1Samuel 1)

As for the others, I haven't found anything yet. God bless.

Love,
Snowrose

Greetings all ,

The Following are the answers to the Bible Trivia.....

1) Answer: Greek

"Then he came to Derbe and Lystra. And behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain Jewish woman who believed, but his father was Greek." (Acts 16:1 NKJV)

2) Answer: They would be led by a child or they will neither harm nor destroy on the holy mountain

"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them." (Isaiah 11:6 KJV)
"They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea." (Isa 11:9 KJV)

3) Answer: a. thigh; b. King of Kings, and Lord of Lords

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. (Revelation 19:11 KJV)
"And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." (Revelation 19:16 KJV)

4) Answer: Any four of the following six

1. belt of truth
2. breastplate of righteousness
3 shoes of the preparation of the gospel of peace
4 shield of faith
5 helmet of salvation
6 sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God

"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;" (Ephesians 6:11-18 NKJV)

5) Answer: Amnon with Tamar or Abraham with Sarah

"And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her. And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her." (2 Samuel 13:1-2 KJV)

"And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake. And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife...And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife." (Gen 20:11-12,14 KJV)

6) Answer: blue, cloth or cloth, blue

"When the camp is to move, Aaron and his sons are to go in and take down the shielding curtain and cover the ark of the Testimony with it. Then they are to cover this with hides of sea cows, spread a cloth of solid blue over that and put the poles in place." (Numbers 4:5-6 NIV)

7) Answer: Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum

"Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you. And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day." (Matthew 11:21-23 KJV)

8) Answer: Jacob or Pharaoh during Abraham's time

"And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim. And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed." (Genesis 48:1-2 KJV)
"But the LORD inflicted serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household because of Abram's wife Sarai." (Gen 12:17 NIV)

9) Answer: fat and blood (of the bullock). The faithful priest was Zadok.
[The prophecy to Eli]

"And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them. And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever." (1 Samuel 2:34-35 KJV)
[Zadok is the faithful priest]

"So Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest unto the LORD; that he might fulfil the word of the LORD, which he spake concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.

And the king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his room over the host: and Zadok the priest did the king put in the room of Abiathar." (1 Kings 2:27,35 KJV)
[The sons of Zadok make the offering]
"But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:" (Ezekiel 44:15 KJV)

10) Answer: Nebuchadnezzar's soldiers

""Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to labor strenuously against Tyre; every head was made bald, and every shoulder rubbed raw; yet neither he nor his army received wages from Tyre, for the labor which they expended on it." (Ezekiel 29:18 NKJV)
