What is the message of the “Gospel” that saves?

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

What is a person specifically suppose to “believe” regarding the Gospel?

Luk 1:76, 77 And you, child, shall be called the prophet of the Highest: for you (John) shall go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways. To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

G859 (remission)
From G863; freedom; (figuratively) pardon: - deliverance, forgiveness, liberty, remission.

Joh 1:29 The next day John sees Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.

G142 (take away)
A primary verb; to lift; by implication to take up or away; figuratively to raise (the voice), keep in suspense (the mind); specifically to sail away (that is, weigh anchor); by Hebraism (compare [H5375]) to expiate sin: - away with, bear (up), carry, lift up, loose, make to doubt, put away, remove, take (away, up).

The message to believe concerning the “Gospel that saves” is Jesus came to do what the Law of Moses could not do; which is to give life. If the Law of Moses could have taken away sins, the offering of bulls and goats would have sufficed. But because the Law of Moses could not take away sins, Jesus came preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom which is deliverance and freedom from sins. Believing the Gospel that saves is having faith in Jesus Christ and believing what He’s done for man regarding the redemption process that only Jesus could accomplish.

Act 13:39 And by Jesus all that believe are justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Rom 8:3 For what the "law could not do," in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and "for sin," "condemned "sin" in the flesh:"

What is the “only” thing the Law of Moses could not justify a person from? What is it the Law of Moses could not make Israel Righteous and innocent of all charges from? It was possible for the Law of Moses to make a person rich in every sense of the word with worldly blessings. But the Law of Moses could not make the people rich in spirit from the sin that separated them eternally from God. God’s word teaches that Jesus became poor that we through His poverty might be rich (2Cor. 8:9; 5:21).
