Be Thankful for Your Job

]Unemployment in some countries is 20-30%. A significant portion of the world lives on less than one dollar per day. Millions of people eke out a meager existence – daily living on the precipice of ruin.

Why state these grim realities? To encourage you to be thankful for your job.

Your present job may not be your dream job. Perhaps you had hoped for more. Your work environment has become toxic. You are facing many challenges. Drudgery and frustration consume you all the time.

You should still be thankful.

At least you have a job. You are not unemployed. You are not living on the edge of ruin and destruction.

And you are making more than one dollar per day!

Therefore, be thankful for your job. Don’t bemoan that you have to go to work. Rejoice that you get to go to work.

Your job is a privilege. In comparison to many people throughout the world, you are greatly blessed. Remember this reality.

You have so much to be thankful for.

The Bible states that we are to be thankful in all things (1 Thessalonians 5:18). All means all! In the good or bad. In poverty or abundance. Whether things are going great or poorly.

An attitude of gratitude shows you choose to enjoy the moment. You adopt a positive appreciation for life. And this positive perspective often encourages blessings from bosses and others.

Give thanks for the job you have.

Many in the world would love to have your job.

And they would not hesitate to give thanks for it.[/TD]

Moments of hope
Yes. I have the best job ever. Thank You Lord! Draw some maps and get paid for it. There was almost no work for cartographers, so first I cleaned dishes a few weeks. My ex said: just believe and I was like: oh yes and within a week I had this most fabulous job. Work there since '96.
