Be honest, are you looking foward to the day you die?

Not that you want to die, but looking foward to the day you meet Jesus? I can tell you that I'm not afraid of death. Never really was though...but oddly I know my passing will be a wonderful moment (for me) and I'm kind of looking foward to it. Sorry if this sounds a bit morbid, but that's how I feel. Anyone else looking forward to their life after?

No I'm not looking forward to death one bit.

Many Christians seem to feel that because Jesus conquered death, that death is nothing at all. I don't accept that. Death is part of the curse of sin, and we were never created for that. We have no need to fear dying because it has no ultimate hold over us, but that's no reason to welcome it.

Of course, death is also a gateway to the fullness of God's Kingdom, and I am looking forward to that...

I understand how you feel HappySoul, and there is nothing morbid about it; yours is a blessing for living in truth and gift of being set free!

This life is very short.I enjoy the life God has given me and know what awaits after it.
Thank-You Lord.
Love You Lord.

Death is a better life for us. We enjoy our lives and spend them working towards His will. When we die, we shall be received into His holy presence and although we may miss those we left behind it will be drowned out by God's glory as a candle's light is by the sun. Knowing this, how can we feel trepidation about the idea of death?

Life is but a vapor, but we must realize too that God put us here for a reason and it wasn't to make light of what is here. We are here to please God. We are here to fulfill the Great Commission. Our lives are not our own.

Life is precious. I do think about what comes after, but right now I need to be about my Father's business.

My answer would have to be a little of both.
Having come close to death more than once I can say this with a honest heart:
1.My body wanted desperately to cling to life. this is something God built in all of us.

2.My soul longs for the day when I am with Him free from the burdens of this life.

3. While I am quite content to stay here and look for the opportunity to fulfill His will for my life I will certainly not hesitate when it is time to go home.
