Barack Obama

Discussion in 'News Stand' started by spirit1st, Sep 11, 2007.

  1. Osama is Obama middle name.

    Who is Barack Obama?

Probable U. S. preside the University of Hawaii. When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia. When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick to point out that, 'He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school.'

Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In ! reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education.

Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta.

Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world.

Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking Major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background.

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy.

The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level -- through the President of the United States, one of their own!!!!

ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office -- he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead, the Kuran.

Please forward to everyone you know. Would you want this man leading our country?......

I read something like this before in MyFoxLA

I'm confuse, I thought he sworn in on the koran. And some saying he's Christian.

It really matters not to me.
  3. I wouldn't vote for this guy if my life depended on the vote. I would never support anything to do with Islam or any muslim supporter. Never.

I will simply pray the Father's will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Therefore, GOD knows best who is the best canditate for the job.
  4. Amen, Brother Chad! I wouldn't vote for Obama either. He probably switched to Christianity to just get votes because he knew that American would never vote for a Muslim for president.

    Obama-nation? :thumbs_do I don't think so.
  5. I'm not too sure on these accusations. Just because of how one was raised, I don't judge. Few points I would like to raise.

-Just because someone is a different religion, doesn't mean they won't be a good politician.
-He refuses to take any $$ from businesses. Unlike Hillary, saying that taking the money will not sway her vote, or decision making. Which may be true, but the reason businesses would give a campaign $$ would because it would help their company. Maybe keep wages low for the average worker, or keep taxes low on imports so they can exploit countries like China.
-And the "Osama is Obama middle name." is purely coincidence, it has no point in the post. It does not affect his decision making.
-Family matters should be left out of Politics. Because he went through tough times with his mother and father is out of his control.
-Suggesting that the Muslims are using Obama to destroy America from the inside out is insane. Congress passes laws, and it is the role of the President to enforce them. Any attempt to weaken America will be met with skepticism, and if his decisions aren't widely accepted, he will be impeached, turning even more Americans AGAINST Muslims.

I am strongly for seperation of Church and State. Freedom of Religion is what our country is based on. Morals of the Bible should be incorporated in our system, "Though shalt not steal", etc....

I could go on about seperation of Church and State, but it is mostly how Catholicism controlled countries. Maybe it is different today, but total control of 1 religion in a Country has had a bad history.
  6. Mr. Obama is posturing when he says he's not accepting money from big business. If the checks aren't written by corporate PACs, the money can be funneled to him through individual donations from executives and members of their families.

We don't need "good politicians", Landon, we need statesmen and we've had precious few of them during my lifetime.

Actually he's been involved with the united church since the 1980's.
Whether he is or not I dont know. But his wife is nice, I saw her on an interview once.
If he is guilty, I say guilty by association.( family )

I have some christians friends in PA, that actually support him, so I think I'll do some research on these claims,
seeing that the letter above can be seen also on snopes ( urban legend site ).

I wouldnt want to judge so, I'll get back to everyone with the facts.
As of to date Keith Ellison is the only person to be sworn in with the Koran
  8. Sorry Brother, I have to disagree with you on this. American has had so much corruption in politics; we've lost count. I want a good Christian president who will run the country off the rules of the Bible. And one who won't lie to us either.
  9. As a pastor something about this guy gives me the creeps. There is certainly more than meets the eye with him. I would not advise anyone I know to vote for him.
  10. I agree with sister trulyblezzed 100%. Since when is any other religion ok? If it is not one based on the Word, which is only Christianity - it is not of GOD. Does it make logical sense that its ok when its not of GOD? A man not of GOD, running this country is ok? Absolutely not. Its dangerous.
  11. islam was started by satan. it has no mercy or love!
    It is bondage!
I do not hate muslims, I hate they god they serve!

we cannot fellowship with satans kids!

2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

2Co 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

Allah, the god revealed in the Quran, is not a loving father. It says that he desires to lead people astray (Surah 6:39 , 126). He does not help those who are led astray by him (Surah 30:29) and desires to use them to populate hell (Surah 32:13).

This is NOT the GOD , who gave Himself for mankind!
    GOD is LOVE!
  12. Presidents have claimed to be spiritual in the past. Here is a few quotes about Bill Clinton.

"Obviously a person of faith and a committed Christian."
"more deeply spiritual than any president we've had in recent years."

-Ed Dobson, pastor of Calvary Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Now obviously I do not need to go over the scandal. Presidential canidates use Religion as a voting tool. Clinton is Pro-choice, pro-gay rights. Yet would you still vote for him because he wore a cross on his jacket and said he was Christian?

And as Rizen said, this could hardly be taken as facts, this is anti-obama material, they show you only the parts they want to show you. They do not mention he has been a part of the united church since the 1980's.

And Spirit, he takes donations only anonymously, or through people. He does not take corporate donations to his campaign.

Chad, where are you getting the facts that he is NOT a man of GOD? He has been part of the Church since the 1980's, unless you are implying that once he had the Muslim influince that he could never truly learn the word of God? That people never change? I have seen people change in seconds, days, or weeks, much less 15+ years.
  13. Landon, does he bear fruit of the Holy Spirit? Ask yourself that, you don't have to tell me.

I would not want anyone but a devoted godly man running this country. If a person is not a true believer, a true branch in the Vine (Jesus), then where is he bound to? He is hellbound. Do you want a man without the mind and heart of Christ to run your country? I do not and that is how I stand.

No ifs, ands or buts. If the man is not a true believer, I will not vote for him.

Do not be deceived just because you feel what you feel based on your own understanding. This is the end times and the devil is pushing harder to deceive even the elect. Read the Word and read it deep. Study it and you will see what I'm talking about. One day (maybe this coming presidential change) we'll get the *wrong* peson running our country and eventually, all hell will break loose or be the beginning of such.

Are you ready for that or do you wish to sit around and preach about what this man did learn and did not learn?

What matters is where he stands NOW and where his heart is NOW. Not the past. Like John Kerry who was obviously a two-sided person,
he hypocritically said one thing and then switches to another - trying hard to win both sides of the votes. Many politicians play this game unfortunately. Who will you believe?

I will simply pray the Father's will be done. If I feel not to vote at all, that's my business.
  14. I feel the same, Chad. We need a man of God for a president that also knows politics. Sadly, they're are few men running with that qualification. What does everyone think about Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul? Mike Huckabee is a Baptist Minister, I thought that was pretty cool. Ron Paul has delivered over 4,000 babies, which is awesome.
  15. What does this "United Church" preach? What is its theology rooted in?

  16. I fear for our nation , as we are getting more evil as time goes on.
I do not think a man of GOD would last long in the white house? Unless our LORD protected HIM!
Our nation has such evil leaders and oddly, we keep voting in such beings.
I hardly could believe we voted in a muslim to make our laws?
It shows me a good talker , No matter how evil ,can get in!
So i see how the anti-christ will be thought of as a great leader!

I think, in the days ahead christens will really need each other?
I do not see a very good future for our nation, it really upsets me.

The U.S.A. has been used in a great way by our LORD!
And still is to some degree!
I pray the LORD gives us all wisdom in voting in these coming days!
  17. Where are you getting your facts that he is not? That he was raised Muslim? He is a part of a Christian Church yet you still criticize him of not bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit? Where are you getting your facts? From a chain letter?
Again, where are you getting the facts or beliefs he is not a true believer? You give the impression that if someone was Muslim they can never turn Christian and be saved. -Which I would think contradicts your site, which I assumed is to bring people to, and closer to God?

Our government is full of checks and balances, the president cannot make up laws, or do whatever he wants. For "all hell to break loose" it would have to be the majority of elected officials to run our country into the ground.
Are you stating that what a person learns/is learning does not matter? Your response is lacking any supporting detail. I am not "sitting around" I am learning about who the Presidential canidates truly are, not reading chain letters to find out what people that hate the canidate think.

If it matters where his heart is now, then I do not get the point of this arguement. He is a Christian, and the only supporting evidence you have is a conspiracy that he is secretly Muslim.

-John Kerry comment. Have you seen Obama switch sides on anything? I have not, and if you have show specific points.

If you fail to vote, I believe you fail your country. YOUR opinion matters, and if none of the canidates represent your beliefs enough, then I think it is your duty as an American to fix that.

And Spirit, here is the Part of the Preamble of the Constitution of the United Church of Christ: (the full version can be found on their website, which is not hard to find)

1 The United Church of Christ, formed June 25, 1957,by the union of the Evangelical and Reformed Church and The General Council of the Congregational Christian Churches of the United States in order to express more fully the oneness in Christ of the churches composing it, to make more effective their common witness in Him, and to serve His kingdom in the world, hereby adopts this Constitution.

2 The United Church of Christ acknowledges as its sole Head, Jesus Christ, Son of God and Savior. It acknowledges as kindred in Christ all who share in this confession. It looks to the Word of God in the Scriptures, and to the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, to prosper its creative and redemptive work in the world. It claims as its own the faith of the historic Church expressed in the ancient creeds and reclaimed in the basic insights of the Protestant Reformers. It affirms the responsibility of the Church in each generation to make this faith its own in reality of worship, in honesty of thought and expression, and in purity of heart before God. In accordance with the teaching of our Lord and the practice prevailing among evangelical Christians, it recognizes two sacraments: Baptism and the Lordês Supper or Holy Communion. "

  18. Feel free to quote me some more Landon. Apparently you haven't dissected every bit of my post yet have you? Before I tell you anything, I will simply suggest you apologize for your foolish assumption that I got my facts from a chain letter. Don't dare try to belittle me with your childishness. You assumed (twice) that I got my facts from a chain letter. That's false, childish, and without merit for your lame assumption.

Secondly, stop sucking up to Obama. We got the point you adore this man like your own family, good for you but do not belittle others just because they don't heed to your opinions and views. That's none of your business, so learn to quiet yourself. I know where I got my facts, but you already made your stupid pre-assumptions right before asking me in your same post. How intelligent is that now?

Finally, the burden is on you to prove your facts without insulting others. You made points, yet you didn't provide your facts but your ran your mouth up requesting facts from me.

Why not ask others who dislike him as a candidate, including the original poster? Did you ask? And for you to even dare judge me if I refuse to vote if none of your business. Its a FREE COUNTRY and I'm not obligated to vote if I don't feel comfortable to do so.

Stop being so silly with your obvious aggressive views that lack any merit to belittle others.
  19. Whats all the fuss here...

I 'voted' for Jesus way back.

I am a child in His Kingdom not some political system here on earth.

Why waste energy trying to influence the course of events here by anything other than right living in accordance with the Kingdom Laws of Love.

God's will - WILL be done...
  20. One God Only

To say that Islam was started by satan is like saying satan created Adam and Eve. To hate their God is to hate your God. It's the same God. My God and Your God and 'their' God is the same God.

The original building in Mecca is reputed to have been built by Abraham and Ishmael. And similarities to the quotations from the Qu'ran you give (which I believe you have taken out of context), can also be found in 'our' scriptures.

The Potter is quite entitled to make a vessel of dishonour if He wishes.

    Romans 9:21
Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

There is a great deal of bondage to be found within the ranks of Islam as there is to be found in Christendom and other religions - ask a scientologist or a new apostolic to leave their particular brand.

Unscrupulous men the world over use fear to entrap others, mostly in the name of some greater good.

I dont think those whose lives ended on the swords of the Spanish Conquistadores thought that 'our' God was a loving God.

When we err WE err because of sin in us.

    Surah 30:29 (in full)
Nay! those who are unjust follow their low desires without any knowledge; so who can guide him whom Allah makes err? And they shall have no helpers.

If there were more than One God and if we were running comparisons then consider the following verse from 'our' Bible.

    2 Samuel 12:11
Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house; and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

    Then consider this...

    James 1:13
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

    James 1:14
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

    James 1:15
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

    James 1:16
Do not err, my beloved brethren.
