For the love of God fills all things;
even as we love one another, so does our God fill us with His love--the recompense of hate will be hate, and for love, so it will be love, even as terror will terrify the one who terrifies, so
also will the one who loves be loved for he has fulfilled it.
Friends,
when all things are in peace, there are no peacemakers,
so then what becomes of the one who goes to make peace where peace is?
even as when all things are in conflict, there will be peacemakers;
again we see: the becoming of the one who goes to make conflict where there is conflict will be cast out, even as one who goes to make peace where there is peace will be cast out.
Will the peacemaker go to a peacekeeper and say to the guard; who will cast out the peacekeeper, so that I can make peace? Or will the guard go to the peacemaker and say to the peacekeeper; I have been cast out of the guard, who will disturb the peace so that the peacemakers have guards?
It is therefor most important that as we have been loved, so also should we love; and even for those who have not been loved, so also should we love them and give them place that they might receive love, even with the hope that they too one day, even as I have now learned, will be able to love freely--that nothing should keep us from loving one another, and that nothing should keep them from losing even that which they have yet to receive.
