I have a GED, not even a day of regular college or seminary.
And yet you think yourself competent to scold thousands of educated people with this condemnation?
When folks divide the Word of Yahshua into separate Covenants they make a sore mistake.
Well, sir, I showed where the mistake lies, and it's not with those folks.

The Poor Man's adage, "It's all Greek to me," applies here.
(And one must presume that you are applying it to yourself.)

But it's not a thing to be proud of. The adage is from William Shakespeare's play Julius Ceasar
  • Cassius. Did Cicero say any thing?
  • Casca. Ay, he spoke Greek.
  • Cassius. To what effect?
  • Casca. Nay, an I tell you that, Ill ne'er look you i' the face again: but those that understood him smiled at one another and shook their heads; but, for mine own part, it was Greek to me. I could tell you more news too: Marullus and Flavius, for pulling scarfs off Caesar's images, are put to silence. Fare you well. There was more foolery yet, if I could remember it.
It's an expression of truth that one does not understand a thing, and if one admits that one does not understand, is it wise then to wax eloquent thinking to present true and insightful teachings on those things that one admittedly does not understand?

The only Ancient Texts I am at all interested in are the Original Paleo Hebrew, the true language of the original Hebrew Scriptures.
So these "Ancient Texts," then, are more important to you than the very words of the Christ, the Son of God, the Messiah for whom those "original Hebrews" were waiting? One might best recognize that the teachings of the messiah were NOT written in "Original Paleo Hebrew, the true language of the original Hebrew Scriptures." So God doesn't seem to imbue any superstitious importance to that language.

The misnamed Old Testament has not passed away,
How is it "misnamed" if scripture itself names the Covenant OLD??
In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first OLD. Now that which decayeth and waxeth OLD is ready to vanish away.
(Hebrews 8:13 KJV)

But the crux f the matter is the world is filled with False Teachers that do not even know their teaching is filled with error because they do not hold the Teacher's Feet to the fire. There are, maybe, one in a hundred members of any Assembly that bothers to take notes and then, as they rest, go through the scriptures and compare them with the notes to see if they have been told the truth or was it a set of "Correct Sounding BS."
I see. Then you would place your own thoughts above that of your "pastor." Thoughts coming from someone to whom it is all Greek. Somehow, @th1bill I get the impression that you would perform your own brain surgery.

Yahshua did not cast away The Original Law, The Ten Commands found on both sets of stone tablets.
Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
Where did Jesus (sorry... Yahshua) ever say "Original Law"? to mean the Ten Dabar? He didn't. Yahshua never used the adjective "original." You just added that in. So in holding your feet to the fire, sir, you have now added in your own words, in order to arrive at your own personal doctrine. I find that disturbing.

I'm sorry but the Fire and Brimstone are not exclusively related to Sodom and Gamora nor to the Jewish Bible.
How does Fire and Brimstone have anything to do with whether scripture identifies an OLD and a NEW Covenant (as opposed to a single revised or altered Covenant)? Have you just threatened me? Was it your intention to threaten me? (One would hope not, but I feel the need to seek an actual answer.)

My point of view on the Holy Scriptures, from Genesis and "In the Beginning," through the very last "Amen" of Revelation 22 are the Holy Words of YHWH, Yashua ha'Meshiach and Ruach ha'Qudesh ... , it is the truth I seek to live by.
Now were that the case, oh teacher, you would not so easily dismiss the Greek as written in the epistle entitled "Hebrews."

εν τω λεγειν καινην πεπαλαιωκεν την πρωτην το δε παλαιουμενον και γηρασκον εγγυς αφανισμου

πεπαλαιωκεν
- declared obsolete.

Remember, you're the one here who has identified the book of Hebrews as Holy Scripture. (But then you reject what it says.)

I pray this gives my perspective grounding for you and others to understand.
Yes, I have gained the perspective that you are speaking of things that are "all Greek" to you. That just doesn't seem wise to me.

(How is that even a measure?)

Come on guys , please send it my way , i am used to being thought of like a porcupine in a balloon factory

No need to throw arrows at each other because one of them's going to hurt somebody else and it's going to be bad news. Then you'll feel like heck because you're hurt your sister or brother

You, Rhema, seek altercation and the scriptures warn us against folks that are so foolish as to seek stupidity. My formal education is capped at the eighth grade but before I began college courses through the mail for different institutions I maxed my GED. I was second in my 675N20, UH1 Class and I have never had a better scoring carpenter on any job site I've worked on. Does all the Bravado BS make me more important?

Your life is a complete set of loose screws, sir. I have spent the last thirty-one years exploring people's errant ideologies as I have sought to follow Yashua, often leading to discovering false teachers. You, like the unlearned fool place entirely to much personal importance on Bill Taylor and in doing so you play the Fool for Satan!

What I learn from my study of the whole of Scripture far exceeds anything people, you call logical, have learned from any of the world's genius'.

Matthew 6:19-20

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;

No need to throw arrows at each other
And that's the damage caused by the game show Jeopardy. Nobody understands today that a question is a question, not a "thrown arrow" in the form of a question.

For example:
And yet you think yourself competent to scold thousands of educated people with this condemnation?
IT'S A QUESTION.

PLEASE read my questions as questions. (Or how else am I able to ask questions?)

Kindly,
Rhema

And yet I wasn't the one condemning other believers for rightly believing that scripture speaks of an Old and a New covenant, as seen in your post here:
When folks divide the Word of Yahshua into separate Covenants they make a sore mistake.
No. They don't make a sore mistake. I provided scriptural proof to show otherwise, sir, and you decided to turn it into a fight. But you've done this before, even to @Bill - here:
You are still trolling
And @Bill even thought as much when speaking to you -
In your 33 1/2 years what have you learned ? To insult , belittle , and show distain to a brother in Christ ?
And @th1bill you claim this for yourself -
And the first duty of any loving person is, to tell the truth.
And yet deny that others may do the same?

NO. I reject your condemnation and accusation that I "seek altercation." You made a doctrinal statement, and I provided proof from scripture where your thinking is wrong. But I cannot repent for you. That's all on you.

the scriptures warn us against folks that are so foolish as to seek stupidity.
Then you should indeed warn yourself about yourself, given the foolish post you made (which I repeat here):
When folks divide the Word of Yahshua into separate Covenants they make a sore mistake.

Your life is a complete set of loose screws, sir.
And yet I'm not the one who posted the screwy idea that there is no Old and New separate Covenants.

You, like the unlearned fool place entirely to much personal importance on Bill Taylor and in doing so you play the Fool for Satan!
Who's Bill Taylor?

So much for your insight and wisdom, sir. While leaping to a conclusion you have fallen into the abyss. I find that unfortunate.

... and in doing so you play the Fool for Satan!

Ain't never and will never deny nor debate my lack of perfection and my continual need for work on the need to hone into perfection and polish out those blemishes, i.e. the log in "my" eye.

Your choice of the fifth verse of Matthew seven is not a good choice, It is almost the last verse in the first paragraph of that chapter. Without the other five verses it is tough to find the command Yashua issued to be Righteous when Judging others, the one thing I work on every moment I am awake.

FYI; I can send no one to Hell! However it is my duty, under the Great Commission, to warn people seated under Liars and folks not attending Worship Services at all, along with the Pew Whales found in any Worship Service since Adam.

Pew Whale: Likely found in Worship Service every Sunday, some even attend Sunday School but, there is no, real heart felt emotion nor obvious love for the Creator.

What will you all do when my time comes, and i walk the streets of Jerusalem.

So many here think they will run away in some great exodus. But you will stay on planet earth , you will either go join the one world church and take the mark of the beast or you will suffer, many to be martyrs at the hands of the enemy.

Will all this haggling have any meaning then?

Now while i am here, i am not welcome by many. But later after i am gone , you will talk to eachother as if we were all great friends.

I know who i am, and God knows the hearts of all . So why continue on this " quest " of locking horns, when there are much bigger things to talk about.

I believe that true Christian brothers and followers of Christ should NOT engage in petty arguments with one another. It's ok to disagree but do so in a loving manner.

My brother which of you , Rhema or yourself will show God that you are willing to take on the sins of others, not your own. To walk in the footsteps of Jesus.

Someone said, "Never be so stubborn and arrogant wherein you are unwilling to be informed, educated, or persuaded". I try to remember that.

I believe that is true, however, God also wants people to multiply and it's expensive to support a family without a good-paying job. I greatly admire missionaries and others that devote their life totally to the service of others, but it's also God's desire that people produce offspring.

Yes , certainly. If you look at the whole of scripture it's all about family. And if you look at the attacks of the enemy it's all about no family or breaking up the family

Faith is certainly something that is very good to have but you must have love with it

I and my wife have personally experienced a number of times where you have no idea where the money comes from but God brings it. Some people will say oh you're just lucky. But how many times does it take before you realize it's God's hand.

Our son was sick in the hospital for seven or eight days we got the bills from the hospital's to two different hospitals over $48,000. We don't have that kind of money. I told the Lord I said you made him sick you can pay for the bill to. ( I have that weird relationship with God) .

The next day a nurse approach my wife and said I bet you're having a hard time paying for that hospital bill. Then she told us about a grant that has been given to the residents of the state of Michigan it's called the No Child Left Behind Act. I'd never heard of it. The state ended up paying for the whole bill except for about $20.

Remember we are the children of our Father, he loves us more than anything.

Tell me what you have avoided here, the scriptural address for burying oneself in the sins of a brother, father, mother or, a friend. I'm sorry but, with my study I have never crossed such a heretical passage. It seems to me to violate the Ten Commandments, the Great Commission and, the First and Greatest and the Second Greatest, that is like unto it.

Thank you for that

I personally I just look at the fact that Jesus tells us to pick up our cross and follow him.

As he died on the cross for 6he sins of man that maybe we too should

Rhema and Bill, Jerking single verses out of their context to prove a point is and, always has been the root of evil and all heresy. And then this paragraph;
Paul's Ministry to the Church
24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, 26 the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. 27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. 29 For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.
is a continuing greeting from Brother Paul and he speaks of his personal burden.

Every one of us that seek to follow Christ are given duty to perform, many different from others. Some are feet and some are hands but none lack importance. All I do is follow Yashua and keep His Commands, as closely as I can.
