Are you saved? Are you sure? Do you want to know how to be sure that you're saved? Maybe these below verses will help.
Hebrews 12:5-11
5 "And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby." KJV
In verse 5 and 6 it tells us not to despise the chastening of the Lord because if the Lord chastises you, that is showing that He loves you.
Verses 7 and 8 tells who the Lord chastises and who He does not. The Lord only chastises His children. If you're not getting chastised for your sins, then you are not one of His sons. You are a ******* and not a son of God. Please remember to take the word "*******" in the true meaning and not the secular meaning as used today.
Verse 9 tells us that our earthly father chastises us to correct us, so God is going to do the same. I know that my father wouldn't chastise a child that was not his, so God wouldn't either. God will only chastise His children.
If God isn't chastising you that might be a sign that you're truly not saved. No, I'm not doubting your Salvation, but that's what the books says and what the book says is truth. So if He isn't correcting you, maybe you should do some hard and humble praying to God.
If you're being chastised for your sins, thank God for it. We should consider it a blessing every time the Lord corrects us because that show us that He loves us. If He didn't love us, He would just let us sin and not correct us, but our God is a loving God and He will lead and guide us until the very end.
I only posted some of Hebrews 12, but I recommend to read all of that chapter. The whole chapter is such a blessing to read. This message is pretty short and simple, but I pray that it might help someone.
