When reading Luke 24, The Resurrection, I am reminded that whenever people in the Bible encounter angels, they are always terrified. I think this is because they realise God is real and these beings are truly proof.

Has anyone here ever seen an angel? It sounds unlikely but we do hear of such events, books have been written all about angels. I wonder if they could be true.
It mystifies me when I hear sometimes how bereaved people think their loved one is flying around with angel wings, in heaven, even watching over them, despite not even believing in God and Christ.
I don't think that is possible. Angels are God's powerful messengers, they exist certainly. The Bible confirms this. But I doubt we become them automatically.

I cannot testify that I have seen an angel, for sure. But, I can testify to being twice in situations where I was to give food to some oddly dressed men ( one had a disabled child named Gabriel). In one instance, when I returned to where I left him, the place looked as if he was never there. In the one where the man had a child with him, when I turned my back, just for about a minute - they were nowhere to be seen. Were they angels? I don't know. But, Hebrews 13:2 about entertaining angels unawared" comes to mind. But, because they are ministering to those that are to receive salvation, then it is very possible that they ARE very close to us as we do the works that the Lord has called us to do. For example: one time I needed a newspaper but had no money. The paper costed 35 cents. On my way out of the store, I looked down and there were 4 dimes (10 cents each)in a neat row. I picked them up and went back in the store and bought the newspaper. Things like that happen more often than not. But, I see it as more of my Lord meeting my needs - not the angels. Perspective is everything. Amen?
