I am going down memory Lane. this is what we did in High School. We had so many choirs, Chorus, Glee Clubs, in school, we song so many different songs and many times we rewrote the tunes. when the teacher did not know it, until we start singing it And in study halls, we start singing, you could hear it all over school, people be running to come see were the sounds was coming from. We song "opera" Sacred Heart, Gospel, Spiritual, The way we wanted to sing it, Behind close doors. And when we got caught, they like it. We rented halls, concert tickets would be From $0.50 to $2.00 and sale out. them boys up there changing the music and the tunes to the songs. The whole neighborhood wanted to hear you sing. Gospel music, I song solo at my Graduation "Scared Heart" the music teacher surprise me and put me on the spot. And i was not even on Program.
When could sing "Country Western" better than the country and western Stars. We have been singing together since grammar school. Almost 12 years. From "My Country Tis of Thee to "Ave Maria" and "you ain't nothing but A Hound Dog in between" We where what you call trouble makers. Changing church songs, They taught us how read music sing by notes. Some of those notes was too hard. We change those notes, little ghetto boys. "Little Rascals"
Tickets .50 to About $2.00 formal singing "Gospel Music" sale out. grandparents, Neighbors, aunts and uncles. cousins, Some church folks Leaders did not like that.
