Alone in the dreamy morning
i woke up to the sounds of singing birds
praising the lord in the green thickets their home
with doves cooing to invite the rest to join in the music;
to a sky spreading its arms to embrace the day with love,
and the sun warmly heralding joy with her broad smile,
the wind softly touching the morning with freshness.
This way i knew i was not alone
Alone in the woods
Sheltered by the cool canopy of their green plumage(feathers)
They clapped with joy to the rhythm of the nudging wind
occassionally letting in flashes of the bright of day.
Though i looked a dwarf amidst them
yet they poured out rich fragrance in the air from their blooms
touching me tenderly was their foliage as though to allay my fears.
At this, i knew i was not alone
Alone in the waters
slowly adrift in my yacht
dancing gently to the breaking waves,
like the voices of multitudes from a distance, they sang a chorus
and the small fishes lept in excitement,
As the breeze gently massaged my skin like a mother would her child,
I was slowly lulled to comfort as i watched the animate ripples,
Even that, i knew i was not alone.
Alone on the hill
she carried me on her shoulders
that i may view beyond my reach in the far horizon
And i saw the sun happily retiring to rest
as she peacefully slipped behind the orange tapestry
She peeped back at me, smiled and lit my face
Gradually she spread the curtain back, then a dark blue gate hid her
I wanted to Protest but her rays reminded me she would come again.
This way i knew i was not alone
For even when i am alone, they are always with me.
Never making me lonely though alone i am
