"For thus says the LORD of hosts: 'Once more (it [is] a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 'and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,' says the LORD of hosts. Haggai 2:6-7 NKJV
Good news. There was a time when God did the shaking so you would never need to be shaken.
The prophet Haggai recorded God’s words: “I will once more shake the heavens and the earth.” Then, “I will shake all nations. “Followed by, “What is desired by all nations will come.” The One who came? Jesus.
He shook the preconceived ideas people had about Him. He shook the rug of humanity and exposed sin and the need for a Savior. He shook all nations so all people would seek rescue.
The answer to all the shaking arrived as a baby who grew and learned to speak. He used His words to point people to God’s answer to their great need. He died and rose again so people could be left unshaken.
Prayer: Father, thank You for making it possible for me to stand with You unshaken by Your purposed shaking. Thank You for Your Son and for the rescue He brought. I celebrate His birth. You shook all nations, and people from all nations noticed You.
