Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; And let those who love Your salvation say continually, "Let God be magnified!" Psalm 70:4 NKJV
God is so much bigger than your burdens. He is the Almighty One who parted seas and caused high city walls to crumble. He fed His people in the desert when they were hungry and calmed the stormy seas. And He is the One who brought Jesus back from the dead.
But just think about this for a moment: that same power that raised Jesus from death to life is in you through God’s Holy Spirit! Nothing on earth compares. Nothing this world has to offer will ever be able to give you the power that comes from God.
This is who your God is—and what He does for you. He is powerful enough to do all the things listed above—and loving enough to care for you and every one of yur needs.
Today is Easter, the day Christians around the world commemorate Jesus’ resurrection. Make time to listen to Him today. Praise Him for His love—a love so strong that He came to earth so that you can live with Him forever in heaven.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for giving Yourself for me. On this day, I want to reflect on the fact that even though You died a terrible death for me on a cross made of wood, You didn’t stay in the grave for long. You’re alive!
