About women praying

I got the answer from

1 Corinthians 11

1.Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
2.Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
3.But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
4. Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
5.But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6.For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7.For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8.For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.
9.Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
Thank you Lord.

Do women need to cover her head when she is praying? Please help me with this question?

In a Roman Catholic church yes, in most Baptist churches, no.
In the times and culture of Paul they did, now there is no reason to pray with a head covering.

Women wore head coverings up until the 18th/19th centuries if I am not mistaken. All early Christian portraits/figures of women showed them with head coverings.

The head covering whilst praying in church is a sign to show that the woman recognizes the authority of the man over her and protects her from offending the watching angels. I am not sure why this would have changed since Paul's time. Unless you believe that man is no longer head over the woman and angels do not exist any more?

During reading the bible and prayer I cover my head, most of the time. If I am wrong God will show me the way.

james: the Amish do ware bonnets today. However as a general rule today very few women ware head coverings, unless it's a hat. I truely believe it was a culture thing, due to the cult prostitutets who had their head shaved, were required to have a head covering, I can't remember the last time I have seen a woman with a scarf or hat in church. Blessings

It must have been very confusing to know who is a man and who is a woman with all the women's heads shaved. I suppose they could have asked them to wear wigs but I guess wigs were not common then.

I don't know about women praying with their heads covered, my wife doesn't sometimes, hardly ever at home for sure.
But as far as the culture of the time, do you think God changed just because man's society changes?
